I was at a goodwill once and they were “clearing “ shelves by throwing glassware into carts. The crashing of the glassware was making the seniors that were in there very upset, so we went to the front desk and told the manager that we would not donate or shop were they toss donations like that. They stopped the clearing and do it after hours now. I think it’s insulting. Put prices at a lower level and maybe you could sell more.
It is upsetting when you're shopping no doubt it's upsetting hearing it on video! I would have done the very same good on the ladies. It's disrespectful to those who donated their treasures. I quite donating to them long ago I donate to a local non profit that support children in need.
It really breaks my heart to see them trashing everything... they get everything for free and people who donate such as myself hope that it goes to a good home and can be useful but when they trash it like that and throw it in a bin and break it and don't care that is very upsetting! I do not donate to them anymore because I seen this in Joslyn's videos as well! They could donate this stuff to a shelter or something a halfway house anything instead of trashing it like that!
When I worked at Goodwill years ago, and it was time to clean the shelves I took as much care taking everything off the shelf and placig in buggy as I did putting it on the shelf. Of course back then, we had to put all our "old/not selling stock" in a container to be shipped back to our main warehouse. There's no need for any worker to be doing that in front of customers, one, it's noisy and two, why destroy stuff that is not broken. Happy shopping Dagny and Jenny ❤
Our Goodwill does the same thing with shelf items. It really breaks my heart that the glass isn't separated for recycling. Thank goodness reselling is still popular and can save some items
Congrats on joining whatnot! I'm a seller over there in estate sales and vintage but don't have a large following, so I haven't sold much. You announcing it here and linking to your videos will help you sell out! Congratulations!!!!
Thank you for sharing. So enjoy when you and Jenny go shopping. Si excited for you and your first Whatnot sale. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
That’s Paul Defenderfer on that print at time mark 27:00. 😄 It’s not at all uncommon to find his prints down here in the South. As always, I enjoy your sense of humor and gentle approach to shopping Dagny. Thanks for the video!
What a great shopping trip! I would have left with twice to items. Someone needs to tell goodwill that they need to lower the prices to free even if items don't sell. What a waist and so horrible that they don't care it was donated for a good reason...to help others. They could set up isles like $1, $.50 and Free and save on the landfill and trash pick up prices. @Goodwill needs to hear this!
I sure wish that my local Goodwill had the amount of inventory that I see in yours. It would be so fun to shop & look around. And your PA pricing is a lot less. I always enjoy your videos and I look forward to seeing you on Whatnot❣️
Interesting items and good prices today. My favorites are the lion and the froggies. Thanks for taking us along and thanks to Jenny for tolerating the shopping trip.😊
Great video, Dagny! You found some great things. I liked the bowls with the blue flowers and both frogs. There were many nice things on the shelves! Thank you for taking me with you and Jenny. Oh .... your lunch looked delicious!
Polish pottery is heavy, that quality and why it lasts so long without chipping or breaking. 😊 l love mine because my husband or dishwasher doesn’t break my dishes. That poor lady was second guessing herself!!! It’s a shame GW doesn’t respect the treasures they get. I guess since it was donated they don’t care but why don’t they send it to the bins unbroken. Just crazy. Better yet, put a free section in the store and we’ll take it off their hands.
The green, blue & yellow striped sugar and creamer at 16:21 with the solid green plate was awesome. I think they had taped the sugar bowl lid on the creamer.
Great finds and such a fun relaxing shop.I enjoy your relationship with your daughter too😊❤Ineeded this today.Thank you for all you do to include us on your journeys
I have a little bean pot like the one that survived😂 I’ve had it since my childhood, (so it’s at least 55 years old) it has miniature utensils in it now and says B&M beans on it.
Actually, that little bean pot crock has some value. It is from the Burnham and Morrill Company of Portland, Maine. Also know as the maker of B&M Baked Beans lol.
Picked up some great stuff and A lot of it You had a good day. I love how you and Jenny go on you to have a lot of fun together. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed watching the both of you and I’ll catch you on the next one.
That clear glass votive candle holder you said you thought someone made… it’s actually Partylite… I have two sets of them and they make the candlelight dazzle all around them… bought just after Partylite launched… was a dealer for a short time 😬lol
Unfortunately the background was loud on this shopping day. I still wanted to share what Jenny and I were saying to each other. Thank you for watching!
Without reading all of your comments, maybe you would put caviar in the little fish jar. I so, so, so wish that I lived near you so that I could shop behind you. I cringe so many times while watching your videos. You leave so many beautiful things on the shelves. I'm sure alot of the reason is having a lack of space. Anything beyond that, I have no idea why you leave things that I would jump at. I guess that I'm just jealous. The Goodwill's around here in Jacksonville, FL are just awful. Alas Dagney,I love your videos... LOL 😆 jealous or not.
2:54 We are fortunate to live in an area that is rich in crocks. 5:58 Is Jenny wearing a Meow Wolf or Abominable Snowman sweatshirt? (I love it.) 6:52 I thought you were pretending to be excited about finding an Eggtastic and I LOL’d.
This might have been the video to do a voice over. Lots of unhappy watchers over the breaking and tossing of things by store staff. I would think some of those “things” go to the stores that sell by the pound.
Unfortunately the background was loud on this shopping day. I still wanted to share what Jenny and I were saying to each other. Thank you for watching!
If the Goodwill, Value Village/ Savers , would have a couple of day's where they have pink, red, days green, yellow, or 50 percent off more $1.99 day's , it's unbelievable how much they destroy 😢
I thought stuff that didn’t sell went to the bins for one final try at selling it! The Rural Squirrel makes her living from the bins. Your video was good though!
I have seen them deliver the Gaylords to my favorite Goodwill to sell items at another store, so I wasn't quite sure why they tossing everything into it.
You should be ashamed of yourself, taking that little old lady's Polish pottery. 😂😂 Just kidding 😂 . What in the world were they throwing into the large box? Seemed to breaking everything in there🤷♀️. Excited for your whatnot sale and will be bookmarking the time!
Instead of just destroying all that merchandise, why don’t they just have a “fill up a sack for a dollar sale”? The merchandise would fly off the shelves and nothing would just be wasted and Goodwill would it get the bad reputation that it now has. This just makes me so very sad.
Unfortunately the background was loud on this shopping day. I still wanted to share what Jenny and I were saying to each other. Thank you for watching!

I don't understand why it's not done after hours! Thank you for sharing and watching!
@@FlyingPigThriftsexactly what I was thinking. I'm having some trauma just watching the video 😢

It's disrespectful to those who donated their treasures.
I quite donating to them long ago I donate to a local non profit that support children in need.
Isn’t that what they were doing during this video? It made me sick. I think of the smaller second hand stores that would have loved those donations.
It really breaks my heart to see them trashing everything... they get everything for free and people who donate such as myself hope that it goes to a good home and can be useful but when they trash it like that and throw it in a bin and break it and don't care that is very upsetting! There's no reason they have to throw things like that. I love all the things you found!

The clear votive holder you thought someone made at 19:23 before you found the costa boda is actually PartyLite! I had the pair, but sold them!!
Congratulations on whatnot
I need a "self control" bowl.😂. The frogs were the best!
Thanks!!
OMG what a great score on the Polish pottery!!
Another GREAT video with you and Jenny!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, clearing the shelves.😮
Omgosh, those cute 🐸 frogs!❤
What a pretty blue dish.
Great video, Dagny! You found some great things. I liked the bowls with the blue flowers and both frogs. There were many nice things on the shelves! Thank you for taking me with you and Jenny. Oh .... your lunch looked delicious!
The fossil looked like a. Stepping stone for the garden!
You did really great today!! Love the flower cover dish, so 50's, 60's!! What a cutie little face at the end!!🤗🤗😊🛍

Love the frog 🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️
I just love how your hair has grown!!! I took a picture of your hairstyle and had me be cut like yours!!! I love it!!!.
That's so sweet!!
The green, blue & yellow striped sugar and creamer at 16:21 with the solid green plate was awesome. I think they had taped the sugar bowl lid on the creamer.
Pretty confident the green glass decanter pitcher @ 1:47 is Empoli. 😊
4:01 is very pretty color!
I thought so too!
So much stuff on the crowded shelves.
Yay Dagny congrats! I will be there! 👋🎉
So excited to see you on whatnot. Great Video as always.
It is a wander that you can find anything there that isn't broke the way do things
I was surprised that they were tossing the items, I though they delivered the gaylords to other stores to try selling them - maybe I am mistaken.
That was one loud Goodwill!
Oh my goodness, Dagny! You picked up way more than you normally do. You got really great things today. Great haul. Happy thrifting

I like the items you bought on this day. Thanks to you and Jenny for the entertainment. I hope you sell a lot on whatnot. See ya❣️
That was disturbing to hear the trashing going on in the background. Would have loved a voice over on this one. But I love your vids!

Fun video The soup looked so good. Thanks for sharing. 😍
The fossil would make a nice path in your garden with a few friends.
👍🙂
Love the McCoy frogs!
I love the frogs!❤ That artwork for 3.99 is very nice. I'd have some of my house plants around that fish fossil. Good luck on the what not sale!!!!
Thank you!
Next to the shell box it looked like there were long stem glass flowers!
Has the Charleston pottery sold? I was born there! My mama’s family immigrated there from France in the 1800s
lot of nice stuff
❤️polish pottery
❤
Thank Dagny
I actually enjoy your voice overs - so soothing! ~ Amy 😍
PS Love the froggies! ❤
Ugh🤦🏻♀️I would have loved that crock you put back and those chafing dishes! Man I wish I was near a goodwill etc only have a small town thrift store😢
When you buy a real display fossil like that they usually come with a holder to display it vertically.
I like the items you picked up but BOY your lunch looked good!😋
It's a hat. I have one just like it.
Danish Holmgaard glass bowl, a fantastic color, i have the same in cobalt blue, the Polisch Pottery peacock eye?
Picked up some great stuff and A lot of it You had a good day. I love how you and Jenny go on you to have a lot of fun together. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed watching
the both of you and I’ll catch you on the next one.
the irony of this piece and your soothing voice, with the background 🥴 12:15
The item that you thought someone made is a candle holder with a peg. They are sold like that. I have 2 sets from my Mother.
Please tell Jenni that I wear Snoopy shirts and I also have two different Snoopy backpacks!!!!!
Too late for the Seder plate this year! 👍🏼😊
I love your hair!
Was a fan and subscriber of your channel when it was about thrifting. Good luck to you in your new direction as an online selling platform.
Thank you!
My goodness, they sure were getting carried away with all the tossing of stuff. Good luck on your What Not sale.
Juliska is newer but a nice brand. Spendy.
My son was stationed in Charleston SC and he told me that's a palmetto tree, not a palm.

That Jusleski ( sp?) piece is from a very nice ceramic co. U should have picked it up!
And u should have done a voice over- the smashing of stuff is distracting!

Omg my mother had that Brush McCoy frog….😢
It looks like a tornado went through that store. Nothing is organized at all!! 😮
Do you remove items from your store that have been sold?

They are up for auction.

I don't always know.

I'm glad you didn't do a voice over. I know sometimes it's necessary because of copyright issues. But I like to hear what's going on.
Wow why were they throwing things in the bin I bet it broke everything such a waste
Enjoyed the shopping, but didn't like that they were throwing stuff and making so much noise.
