I'm learning the lesson Amanda is learning right now at 27. Two things are true, you gotta be assertive and not let people play you AND you can't change anyone to the point that they treat you better. We’ve ALL been in situations whether it be a job, business relationship, friendship, community relationship where we’ve had to desolve the relationship and don’t see eye to eye. The problem with Amanda is that she feels the need to publicly blast every single relationship issue and it makes people cautious about working with her. Some things that she experiences, we shouldn’t know about unless she plans to open up a civil suit for discrimination or retaliation.
If 5 years ago Amanda had self awareness, her life would be different. She’s egocentric and believes she is the main character in every room she’s in.
You can’t rub people the wrong way and then expect to keep rubbing elbows with them.

Every time I see her, she’s complaining. She just comes off as someone with some deeper personal issues that she’s not properly dealing with and is now looking to place the blame on someone besides herself.

After this, I gasped and said I love your work and told her I watch every episode of Insecure. That was all I said. She gave me this look and thank you as if why are you talking to me...I let her get seated and didn't think anything of it. I just figured she wasn't feeling it. I never acknowledge celebrities because to me they're normal people and more than likely want to relax. She was in first class and I gave her my normal introduction that I gave everyone and she barely let me finish and instead waves her hand at me as if she were to shoo someone and says she doesn't want anything...I said in my head say less and kept it pushing and didn't bother her for the rest of the flight. As the young kids say it's the tone for me...hhahaha She could have been going through something...it was off putting and made me think a little differently.
