    STORYLINE:
Hezbollah militants fired eleven rockets on the northern suburbs of Haifa early on Saturday causing extensive damage to roads, buildings and vehicles and injuring at least nine civilians, according to police.
The missiles made large craters in a road in Kiryat Yam and left some vehicles completely burned out.
Residents inspected the debris left by the attacks, while police assessed the damage.
The injured were taken to nearby hospital where eleven people were treated for shrapnel injuries, Israeli medical services said.
The barrage follows Friday's rocket attack by Hezbollah which struck deeper inside Israel than ever before, hitting the town of Hadera.
The attack on Hadera gave substance to the threat by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah to hit Israel's commercial capital, Tel Aviv, if the Lebanese capital of Beirut is targeted by Israeli warplanes.
Israeli resumed air strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs on Thursday.
Hadera is about 50 kilometres (30 miles) north of Tel Aviv, but Hezbollah is believed to have longer-range missiles that can reach the metropolis itself.
Israel has warned that such an attack would likely trigger a massive response.
