I really like the 28mm for short films because you can get a wide shot without distortion. For example in a two person shot where both should be on screen 28mm is perfect. I am now building my Zeiss Classic Set because i think they are the perfect match between old school glass and modern lenses so with the right tools (filters etc) you can make them look either highend commercial or characteristic film like. but at first i only have the budget for 3 lenses so i think the 28mm doesnt fit that budget, i mean it is not wide enough to make an establishing shot but not close enough for the "standard" focal length. I think i would go 25mm F2 for wide shots, 35mm F2 for medium shots and 85mm F1.4 for close ups. What do you think or do you know how to build a set around a 28mm?
Well, I love 28mm lenses. I think there is a diferrence between 25mm and 28mm specially in the distortion. I will keep 28mm. But, If 28mm is not an option, 21mm and 35mm can solve the problem
@@aledge9619 they only cost 400? BTW> you are the one of less than a handful that make this camera look nice. In the Sony forum it's all News style footage - why the even need such a fancy camera?
Best lens comparison I’ve seen in a while thank you
Thank you mate!
Very nice. Personally I like the Takumar better as it seems to be a little bit warmer
I prefer the zeiss for corporate/payed videos.
Narratives and personal stuffs, I will go with takumars.
@@aledge9619 zeiss wins overall to me!
Youre able to control iris with adapter?
@@dapunkof1975 in the Zeiss yes. The takumar are manuals

so they are old lenses? No AF? How to adapt?
Yes, no Af. For the Takumar I use the M42 adapter and for the Zeiss the Ef adapter
