I would suggest trying this video a couple times per week for approximately a month.
If you do that you will start noticing a solid improvement in your balance skills.
And remember to comment below if you have a video request.

This is gonna sound unbelievably silly but I brush my teeth on one foot, one I the morning and the other in the evening and it's helped my balance a ton. Also give a good burn on my hip flexors holding my knees a high as I can.

      Doesn't sound crazy to me.
Sounds like it makes brushing teeth fun 👍

    Thank you Gabriel! 👍
It is a very basic but important tutorial. Traditional martial arts often work on improving the balance skills quite extensively and it's great. On the contrary, in some bad combat sports/self-defence clubs, practitioners are very quickly asked to throw whatever kicks without having the balance and core movements assimilated.
Having someone with your track record demonstrating the importance of these techniques is very important. 💛💪🥊

Just finished this and it was very interesting knowing which I could and could not do.
Not too sure how the video would do like you mentioned, I believe people love technique and fight gameplan videos more. I personally feel that having this out here adds even more credibility to what you teach (a good fighter may not be a good teacher) and that it is a very holistic approach. Witj this video as an example, not everyone may do balance drills, but those that do will GREATLY benefit from this.
Always appreciate the quality and quantity of information you bring to us! Views and likes are one thing, but having some videos where you are unsure of its views performance and yet sharing because you feel they are important and really makes us appreciate your content so much more. Glad to be in an era where your videos are out here. Thanks coach!

Gabe with some of those drills you could try looking straight up to the ceiling and then close your eyes. It gets super hard, even when just lifting a single knee. It is not very functional for combat sports but a funny challenge. Best regards!

do you have a routine for stretching after you train? I've noticed since I started training that my upper back and shoulders are more tense than normal. I do stretch after training every time.

Hey man... for your issue why you said you ran barefoot... instead... start running in Vibram toe shoes.. and... eventually... start wearing just toe shoes and get rid of those regular shoes... as long as you gradually progress... your feet will LOVE you😊

    Good video Gabriel.
Suggestion for an advanced exercise, especially good for judoka and other grapplers.
While standing on one leg I take a 35 lb. dumbell, hold it up to my shoulder and pass it over my head to the other shoulder.
I do this 15 times going back and forth to the alternating shoulder. This challenges my balance by having a constantly changing and high center of gravity. Then I switch legs. Good for judoka who have to balance while having the weight of an opponent on their back.
