These are the new Samsung Galaxy Buds3. Could they be an airpods 3 alternative? They certainly look similar, but Samsung added a few tricks of their own to these buds.

I have more waxy earwax than other people and those in ear earbuds with silicon tips are way more hassle to use for me
For me it's more than I can not stand silicone/foam tip earbuds (I get headache from it, then after that I get dizzy)

Yeah, im one of those people who actually like the open design. I'm currently using the Galaxy Buds Live, I believe for 2 years now? The Buds3 look like a good upgrade with sound, design and controls. My main complaint with the buds live is controls are not great. I'm looking forward to your review on the Buds3.
I'm also a budslive user, however, I'm honestly afraid of the fit for the new buds3 model since it has a similar shape to the airpods which does not fit my ear. Hopefully I'm able to try them before purchasing 🙏
I am with you, I absolutely hate the silicon going into my ear. rocking my 2nd pair of the buds live, quite annoying i actually just bought the 2nd pair 2 months ago

I still have the original Galaxy Buds and they still work great. I see no reason replace them.
Same. I can't believe how people tolerate those ear canal invading designs. It's a stupid and irritating design. The best headphones are open-back! Seal makes sound inherently worse with less sound stage.

Lol what are you on about. It looks like the cheapest silver plastic finish I’ve ever seen. It even has those orange peel texture on the surface/paint. It looks HORRIBLE!

The fit of kidney beans (1st Gen galaxy buds) was so good. Even the ANC in it was so nice.
Though I disagree and think the ANC on the kidney beans is horrible, I agree the fit is perfect. Very comfortable. I still use them today.
Just pre-ordered these last night in the silver color. I'm one of those people who don't want/like those silicon tips all in my ears; big reason why I bought AirPods. Trading in my Galaxy Buds2 to save some $$.
My brother is the same way and so many companies don’t understand some people prefer open earbuds. Silicone tips can be uncomfortable or unhygienic

I just spent $100 on these brand new at an auction. XD -$80 off and its silver, which matches my Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. Thats a big plus. Though its in a otterbox, so only i know its silver lol

They do have ANC so I was interested in hearing how effective it was, I guess not much if you thought they didn't 😅
I think he mixed up the the ambient noise control which the buds 3 (open ear design) do NOT have vs the pros having it

I'm so excited that Samsung made silicone free buds finally! I'm not sure what new material is being used for silicone tips now but my ears itch so bad with them. I was able to preorder these for less than $75 on the Samsung app with my work discount so I'm excited! The microphone sounds amazing!

I use the Apple airpods with my Samsung phone because it's comfortable and I have been wanting Samsung to make one like it.
I have the Buds live, and the Buds Fe and both hurts with long time use.... the airpods I could use all day with no problems...so I'm very happy about the Buds 3, can't wait to get them.
I use my old first generation apple buds with my Samsung phone for the SAME exact reason as you. My Galaxy Buds 2 Pros fall out or feel like they are. These new Buds 3 will DEFINITELY work!
Same. I really like the Buds Live but they just hurt. I'm using Airpods because they fit better but they don't always connect to my phone (S22U). So I'm looking forward to the Buds3.
I have a fisher brand earbuds. And they are amazing. Clear sound and great sounds effects.
The microphone sounds awesome. Like really high quality. They sound better than my airpods pro 2 to be honest.
I am rocking a pair of nonpro 3s right now, and i love them. I can't do the eartip because they get uncomfortable fast or push themselves out of my ears. But these sit perfectly in my ears. And I am super happy that they added the step. I love the way they look, and I love the pinch controls!

Thanks so much for the microphone test for me it's the most important and for some reason big tech reviewers don't talk about it.
I am so glad there's another "high end" option for this style earbud. Really felt limited to the air pods and as a non Apple user id feel like I was missing out on the native features. Silicon tipped buds just don't fit my ears, I've tried all shapes and sizes and I can't get one that fits right. I ended up going with the Sony LinkBuds (the donut shaped ones) and those fit my ears amazingly well, but this style earbud is my preferred style. I might look into these at some point in the future, maybe at my next phone upgrade.

I absolutely LOVED the bean-style buds, mine have recently broke and I was looking forward to buying these, but theyre not noise blocking?! Also, aren't airpods terrible to exercise in because they fall out? take me back to the beans! I hate the silicon tips, they NEVER fit in my ears!

So they finally gave in to stem design.
And intial impressions saying miic quality is improved a lot .
Anyone will agree that the stem just give more room for good mics, better drivers for good sound amd already these GB3 and 3 Pro are already proving a point.
@@pave_waywiz8869 what? better drivers? stem design just looks bad. It has nothing to do with drivers as IEM's have like 4 5 drivers now a days and none of them have a stem design. Besides IPX rating, none of these compares to any decent IEM. They did a better job with their last pros, other then that all were simply garbage. PLUS their 24bit 96khz fake claim, GOD. I was really hoping they would come up with something matching the pros or even better, but all they did was just copy the design.

I'm curious if the ear tips can be removed from the Buds 3 Pro, for people who like the dual drivers and other exclusive features, but don't want a seal?
I know, the sound signature has to be completely different (much bassier) in non-sealed buds to make up for the lack of seal, but with some EQ adjustments, maybe it could work?

Are there bulky in the ear? The airpods 3 are too big and hurt my ears but the gen 2 airpods work great for me and have good bass as well.

I'm glad Samsung brought out another set of earbuds that aren't in-ears. I have a weird thing where if I can't hear my environment, I get anxiety/panicky.
Samsung codec is great, and while I love the beans, the battery on mine has degraded, they're a 'legacy' product so they won't get updates, and they slide out of my ears if I'm moving around a lot. I hate the hiss than you hear from the amp on third party earbuds, and Airpods are super limited on Android
A little sad cause they don't do Earbud trade-ins in Canada :/

I got a pair, I have tried endless buds that use silicon tips and due to the shape of my ear and ear canal they just do not stay in, open ear buds do, I've seen loads of people saying the buds 3 are too big or small out but mine are fine, if everyone's ear was the same size and shape, buying ear buds would be easy (and cheaper).
Mike, sometimes you use footage of the 3 Pro. It is kind of misleading, as those have the silicone

galaxy buds 3 and buds 3 pro both have ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) but buds 3 doesn't have Adaptive Noise Control. Based on the website, it optimizes your audio experience by re-adjusting the balance between ANC and Ambient mode to correspond to your surroundings.
@LightningNavigator correct. I have the Buds Live and they do have ANC. It works ok, I wouldn't use it on a plane. I don't personally care for the Buds Pro, as I don't really like having the tips in my ear, so this is perfect for me.

I got a pair of Galaxy Buds with my S20 four years ago, and eventually stopped using them because of the silicone tip.
Have been using my Bluetooth headset for listening to music when out and about.
But ever since these were announced I've been considering getting a pair for the sake of convenience that earbuds bring (since these can easily go into a pocket and brought along anywhere)

Hey, the Buds 3 actually do have ANC like the Pro model. This is listed on Samsung's website in the specs. The regular Buds 3 do lack adaptive noise cancellation though.
I don’t like silicone tips because pressure and moisture so the open ear AirPods like these are my choice

Finally now we have an option for open ear.
I can only seem to keep the airpod gen 2’s or the old earbuds to stay in my ear. I bought the airpod pros and the 3rd gen AirPods and those still couldn’t stay in my ears well. The Galaxy Buds 2 couldn’t stay in my ears either so I’m thankful the new pair are open ear. Maybe I’ll have more luck?

Hi, quick question. Some people said the real-time translator only works with the flip 6. Is it true? Can you please confirm this? I have the s22u, and would love to upgrade to buds3 from my currently beloved bean pods.

I dont like them. Slight movement makes them pop out of my ears, but i will say that when they do manage to stay in whilst im standing perfectly still, the sound is nice.
I hate the silicone tips, so I’m SO glad samsung made these. I’m switching over to a fully on samsung ecosystem/setup now that apple supports RCS, so this is great timing!

I have always hated to insert earbuds into my ears, I saw this on presale, and immediately put the gray ones on my cart. I got them today, pretty satisfied with them, even the noise cancellation.
3:00 they should have ANC, it isn't just so much effective due to open desing.

I'd be okay with this if they kept the old design alongside it and made these the "open ear" version. Strong noise cancellation/isolation/whatever is important to me. I dont wanna have to turn the volume up too high
The beans are just best. The fit is best. Iam using it till date. I lost them last year. I bought them again. I love the design.
Good for you! The beans are usually on a pretty nice sale because many people dislike them. If they work for you, that’s honestly awesome. You’d might as well stock up before the are discontinued everywhere

Theese are not the AirPods killer, for the same reason as the AirPods themselves. They work well with a Samsung Device only. The lack of aptX and Ldac Bluetooth Codecs, will make these earphones play either with AAC codec (on an iPhone) or AAC and SBC on an Android. The "scalable codec" known as SSC is available on a Galaxy Device only. So in other words : if you have for example a Xiaomi Tablet or Phone (that can run Ldac), and you want to buy the Buds 3, they will sound as any 50-100€ wireless buds. It would be an AirPods killer if Samsung gave the compatibility with other major codecs such as those mentioned above (LDAC from Sony, aptX from Qualcom and L2HC from Huawei). In that case anyone that does not own a samsung device gen enjoy a quality sound. Otherwise you're stuck in their ecosystem in the same way as other people are stuck with the Apple Ecosistem. The reason is that Samsung forces you (in a way) to buy only their products.
honestly, i hated the silicon buds because it always fall off my ear, even if it's the smallest size. designs like these are always my favorite because it fits snug in my ears, never falls off.
Open design is much more comfortable for me. So ty Samsung for the option.
My favorite is Buds Live. Samsung abandoned them 😢 I'm sad 😔 (I have three pairs, any tip on how to make them work forever?)
If samsung wanted to come up with an open ear earphones then they should have stuck to the galaxy buds live and improved those instead of just copying apple. Buds live were excellent and very unique, Using them since 2 years without any issues.
Buds Live did not do well despite everyone in these comments begging for a 2.0
Apple has been copying Samsung for years, so why not.
