If I recall correctly, in the light novel, Olivia said what he used would be a Giga Flare if they used ancient standards. In the current time, that would be a Ultima Flare. On a side note, Elrado got off lucky in the anime cause even with the shield, he still got charred pretty badly.

@@chillybradley3095 well that Demon was literally asking for it. He claimed he wouldn't submit even if he died. So Anos just kept killing and reviving the poor schmuck. Although given how fast the death and revive sequence was happening I have to wonder if the guy even had time to process what was happening to him.
@@DracoInduperator rezero kinda explains that it’s instant, so whenever the viewer is shown a time lapse between the last death and him returning he’s technically still feeling the pain mentally, which considering that women can actually mentally think they have a baby and start lactating and show other symptoms, on top of realizing that Subaru was spasming and dragging his nails till they drew blood on the ground after being eaten alive by the rabbits. . .
@@blazeknight2629 well the time frame was roughly 3 seconds of life and death each time. So IDK how that would apply since Subaru generally isn't killed right after reviving. IIRC he goes back in time to a save point for lack of a better term.

This show is basically an enjoyable/watchable version of "The Strongest Mage with the Weakest Crest".

I couldnt figure out what I found weird about his voice but then it struck me, it feels like hes "trying" to talk normal to someone he would normally consider a bug to crush. Like the meme "How do you do fellow kids?".

The one based off of FFV was _super_ weird. (It was ostensibly following Bartz's descendant, but legit it would be hard to know that if they didn't outright tell you that. Also the background colors made no sense. And the story.)

The guy in white actually comes back super depressed and accepts he was a bad person who fell into poor decisions for a well intentioned reason. It’s actually kind of redeeming for anime standards

Based off the synopsis I read of the light novel the mc reincarnated specifically with average magic abilities to live an average life, I don’t think this is “average”

@@alexander_bido5924 to be fair, I'm fairly certain he has average magical talent even for people in his new life. However training and spell inheritances suffered such a drastic decline that even a near talentless mage with 0 work ethic from his time knows more about/has more experience using magic than the current generation's strong youngsters. Thus an extremely knowledgeable being from the past with a high work ethic would of course surpass a bunch of geniuses trying to do something like quadratic equations without ever learning their times tables. A genius working with the worst set of tools for the job will generally reach a similar level to a low talent person with most of the right tools for the job until about the highschool level. After that point it all comes down to tools acquired and knowledge learned and talent becomes something that saves time in utilizing those tools/knowledge but arguably unimportant in the long run.
