I chatted with a XJ owner the other day. He had a '97 Sport model with 300k on it. He said he paid $600 for it about a year and a half ago. MAN!! I want to find a deal like that!
If it's not junk they are asking good money for them now. !! I paid $3000 Aus Dollars for a original XJ in good condition. I'm never selling mine but if I had too I would be asking a lot more now as is been restored back too near original condition.

Absolutely love your videos! Not sure if it's possible, but it would be beyond cool to have the altitude overlaid on like bottom or top corner of the video so that we can see it change at all times, always fascinating to see especially when the snow levels are finicky and even 150-200' sometimes makes the difference between sticking or not. Just a thought lol take care
Overheating was due to bad Radiator cap, did system flush new cap, and transmission fluid change runs great! I guess maintenance is a necessary thing to do. 😂
The good thing is that snow is all fresh, not frozen/refrozen. That's the kind of snow I want to ski if I have to pay $500 for a one day lift ticket....(The Palisades).
@@4WDAdventureCrew thanks for the heads up. We are down in the valley and haven’t made it up there to see how deep it is. love the content maybe I’ll see you up on the trails this year and I’ll say hi
I love that kind of weather and location. A vehicle question. Do you have any thoughts on which would be better in snowy weather like that, an suv like a 2025 GMC Yukon AT4 Ultimate or Ford Expedition Tremor, or a full size pick up like a Ford F150 Raptor (35 or 37 package) or Tremor or Platinum with the FX4 package, assuming good tires on all? I'm leaning F150 Tremor if I go pickup, though the Platinum would allow the Powerboost engine so tempting too. If I go the Tremor or Platinum I'd likely do an after market 2.5" - 3.5" level/lift, do any suspension upgrades that might be recommended as a result, and up the tire size to 35's, adding a bit of poke. I'm wondering if the suv might be better because of its center weight distribution further back versus the pickup which is lighter in the rear, though today's larger supercabs do shift the pickups center of weight a bit further back than otherwise. I also don't know if I can find a true dedicated snow tire in a 35" diameter tire, and as good as the triple peak winter rated all terrains can be, a true dedicated snow tire will be better. I'm also thinking a thinner tires if I can find one, say 9" or 10", at most 11", but not 12" or 13" would be better b/c more lbs per square inch on the ground for traction. Any thoughts or suggestions about any of the above? Thanks.
For deep snow, you want the lightest highest clearance vehicle with the biggest tires you can fit in there assuming you want to go with a new vehicle I would go with the truck very good tires. The biggest ones you can fit without major modification, and most important experience in Deep snow start out with low fresh powder and keep going up the hill. Make sure to have recovery points and the winch.
Great video. What size tires are you all running? I am located in Nevada City (at ~3,300') and have a first gen Tacoma but it only has 32s on it. Used to run the K02s but put on some Falken Wildpeak AT3s and they have been decent in the snow for me. I will be sure to say hi if I see any of you around.
@@4WDAdventureCrew Awesome, thanks for the reply. Yeah I have thought about going larger for my truck for better deep snow driving, but I figure it would take some work with the gearing and whatnot to do so. Maybe some day...
15:10 that's how amazing this things are. ❤
I like how your putting that 360 camera to use!
You got some awesome shots. My favorite is when you’re all side by side coming towards the drone. Made me smile for sure that was so cool
The trees look amazing
Good friends, Good fun, What could be better!!
Great production as always! Looks like a blast!
Thanks so much!
I knew you’d be out there.
Surprised that there wasn't any snow on the Spanish Mine Road, great video.

very cool
It's cool you guys build rigs you can drive to the snow and still enjoy the snow
Good for farmers we need water 🔆💧
But the reservoirs are still full from last year. Most of it just gets flushed out into the ocean..
That will do wonders for your paint…😂😂.
I'm Glad i drive A Shit Box lol
Love those 360 cam shots, well done!
Thanks a lot!
One of best video I've ever see. Keep it up bro ..!
Looks beautiful fun and cold 🥶😊😊
It was!
Great video! I'm jealous of the snow you guys got! I think you have more snow on the open roads than we do in NE Washington this year. Keep it up!

looks fun
it sucks that 10 years from you won't be able to do this
Отличное видео👍и снега много🔥
We have all of our snow around here now!
I always think about having to do that in a Covered wagon. Ox powered. Until your Oxes froze to death.
I watched at work without sound. Did you still have overheating issues? If not, how did you fix?

No kidding about Lift tickets, This season i didn't go at all yet, tickets are just way overpriced

What part of Nevada CO? Planning on trying our luck to Bowman Sunday 3/10/24
Good lock we didn’t even make it to Graniteville, so making it to bowman is not going to happen with out snow tracks
