Regarding the 3% inflation rate, it's important to note that it may not accurately reflect the true cost increases you're experiencing in your area. In our Midwestern city, real price inflation seems closer to 20%. Do you foresee a reduction in costs for essentials like food, gasoline, or insurance in the near future? We've significantly cut our spending and plan to continue doing so until prices decrease, as we feel it's our responsibility to adapt to these changes.

I believe a healthy portfolio has 3 things, at the bare minimum: Exposure to ETFs for increased diversification, Exposure to assets that generate cash flow like dividend stocks, Exposure to market-leading tech.

Bullish or bearish, AI stocks will still dominate 2025, even beyond. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long-term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I know someone who has made more than 200% from NVIDIA. I'll also take these other recommendations you made.
I agree, just because the market presents opportunities doesn't mean we should rush in headfirst. For this reason, we should look for appropriate market analysis or guidance or seek advice from certified market strategists.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact, any money you keep in cash or a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow. Unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will have enough money.

My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.
I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, I didn't do all this alone, but with the help of a financial advisor. Having one is currently the best way to trade in the stock market, especially for people nearing retirement.

It has always been that way. It is why Benjamin Graham's The Intelligent Investor should be read by everyone. Do the homework, do the math, invest in companies with good management and then relax. Back in the day, we didn't have 24hr news, and we didn't have real-time stock price updates. It made it easier to avoid the psychology. I bought MSFT in the late 80s, I would sometimes go a full week without knowing the stock price.
@PeterSedesse I appreciate the comment. I have technically read my first book which was a random walk down Wall Street. It's not bad it's definitely a very very beginner book. Just gives you the idea of not to FOMO in and be careful with bubbles that may form and aren't real valued investments. But I definitely will take a look at that book thank you.
When AI begins to expand human knowledge exponentially it will require more infrastructure, well beyond 2 years. Business analysts are so shortsighted. Nvidia is the clear winner.

The company spent its capital expenditure primarily on accelerated computing to replace older CPU servers. AI is only a portion of that spending. This same trend has occurred at Microsoft, Meta, and now Google, and Amazon is likely to follow suit. It seems these analysts are unaware of this.
They don't fully understand what they discuss because they don't care to do deep dives. The average YT investor knows as much as them, and the average seeking alpha author knows more than them.

What this actually means is that Google will be spending a lot more on the Nvidia GPUs that they need for Google's updating...

Demand far exceeds production for Blackwell through to 2025 and beyond. No competitor has anything close to Blackwell. And forward P/E is about 33 (cheap for a high growth stock). Buy this stock and wait. You will be rewarded.
This is Interesting because i bought NVIDIA around September last year. The company is selling shovels in a gold rush. It accounted for almost 80% of my market return last year, and I'm sure this year will present other interesting stocks.
