You know everyone does the Disney videos but the ones you been doing the past couple of days have been amazing. The history of Disney is so important and people need to know about it thank you Adam for doing all your research taking the time in the effort to give us the history.
@@TheDailyWoo Be careful - a famous Historian (Barbara Tuchman) once said "Research is endlessly seductive" and in my experience (and four unfinished books not published because "they need more research") she was very right!
Sir, I have to say your content this year has been fascinating. There is no vlogger I look forward to watch each day more. The history stuff is awesome !
This is absolutely Adam the Woo at his finest - the hunt for old historic relics and landmarks! I love this stuff - and why I subscribed many years ago!
I agree 100% Adam is very special to thousands of people cross the world I hope he realizes it. To me he is the grandfather of UA-cam he's brought stuff to us to watch for years even though sometimes it's not what people like to see everyday but of course they can always turn the channel I'll be so glad when he gets back out on the road he's coming to Atlanta soon and I hope to see him in Atlanta.
We really love the historical vlogs, Adam. Looks like that visit to the library this week provided some new inspiration. An early Happy Birthday to you, Adam 🙂
A bit beautiful and bittersweet how much Walt wanted this EPCOT happen, a dream he knew would be part of his final contribution to the Disney family's legacy. Having that easily accessible airport of tomorrow was just as much an important part of his vision of a model utopia as everything else that eventually never saw the light of day... He really wanted to make the world a better place.
Loving the content over the last couple days and your time, effort and research and digging up those old photos and seeing the initial ideas of WDW! Thx for the time and effort to show us the exciting history and folks involved with Walt’s/ Roy’s ideas! Airport of the world amazing!
I swear Walt was a time traveler or something. His thinking was so ahead of his time. It is absolutely fascinating to see how far his visions have taken off and the fact that he never gave up on his dreams….
Your enthusiasm for all your adventures is so contagious, especially the Disney ones. You are definitely a master of your craft and your knowledge and research skills of all your adventures should be recognized. Thank you! Happy Birthday to you (tomorrow).
Fantastic job, Adam! Love the historical references. Finally made a visit to Celebration a few weeks ago and walked down Water Street! Keep up the great work. Best wishes from New Orleans!
I absolutely love these kind of videos of yours! I am a history buff as well, and have spent hours looking at maps and going down rabbit holes. Your enthusiasm is palpable.
Yes! Puttin' some mileage on the library card. Glad you did further research. The vintage satellite view is fantastic. Makes sense that they would continue to develop the area where the house had been. That was enjoyable. Thanks for sharing the history.
I really like the behind the scenes Disney info and the way you compare the historical aerial photos and current day locations. Very cool finding out about the plan for the airport in the triangle of land at the interchange.
Since my newest was born I've missed you and your videos. My friend you have kept me going in some dark times and some bright times for that I am thankful 😊. You were the first UA-cam creator I showed my kids and the longest subscription I've been involved in. Thanks for your time and energy Mr. Woo it's not for naught 😎
We met you at Epcot on the 5th, thanks so much for stopping and speaking with us and having a picture with us. We’ve followed you for ages and love your videos. We go home today 😢 but have lots of your videos to catch up on so it’s not all bad!
Thoroughly enjoying all the Disney history material 👌. Great to see how it all began in Florida. Didn't realise how much Disney information is in the library. Look forward to lots 😊 more of this.
Ahhhh, Adam! You were soooo close to the spot, and it’s marked. I’m a long time CM currently homed at Saratoga Springs Resort. The spot where the house used to be is marked with a big dark pink “hidden Mickey” on the light pink building that you can barely see through the bushes @22:59 . In fact, you’re basically pointing the camera just right of it. Since you’re DVC you can check it out, just say you’re going to the preview center, but you can see it clear as day on the side of the building facing the parking lot. These info vids are always awesome! Thanks for the excellent content!
These are the kind of videos I really like from you. The research put into this was awesome. I love being able to see what was and how it looks today. Great job Adam.
Thank you so much for sharing this information, I’ve lived here in Florida for many years. An never had the time to explore but always wondered what else is out there an the history behind it. Now my grandchildren are doing school reports on Florida history, your channel is very important, I Shear your channel with every teacher and parent I can . Once again thank you for all that you do for us.
I truly enjoy your WDW history and research videos! I too like searching through old newspapers and media….always a big fan of past history and what evolved. Keep up the great job sharing your knowledge.
First off: love the throw back shirt. "Rirruto?" "Rizzuto is not a word! He's a baseball player! You're cheating!" Second: we always look forward tonyour videos and love the historic content! I paused this video so many times to see the details of the maps and news papers. Thank you so much! I'd love to see more of this stuff.
Just wanted to say, very nice work Adam. I love that stuff, the history of the park including where some of the older buildings once stood. Thank you again for another great video.
Once again Adam you amaze me with how much work you put into researching the subject matter that you are covering so you can get the most accurate documentation and again I’m always fascinated with how much time you put in to getting the most accurate photos to match up to what it is you are referring to and the photos always help me understand what it is you showing thanks it was a fascinating day filled with knowledge now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure wherever it takes you also please be safe out there peace ☮️ out ✌️
Since u started going to that library it's made my mind think and wanna know more.. so I went to my local Barnes and nobles and found a book I was in aww reading it, looking at pictures. It was written from the Orlando sentinel. It's just amazing. Thanks for all the hard work and making my mind go crazy wanting to know more!!
The history excites me as well! Love your Disney history videos. I could probably spend hours in that library looking at those articles. Thanks for these! :)
Great discoveries!!! Mr. Woo you did good. Thanks for sharing! Someday I would like to visit that library and read some of their references and articles. It looks like they have a nice collection. Thanks for sharing!
Just noticed you’re almost to 650k subscribers! You deserve it so much due to the diverse content day to day. Again todays was so interesting. Thanks for all your hard work. : )
this was genuinely absolutely awesome!!! literally had no idea walt had a full on airport planned. was awesome being able to pull up my google maps and follow along and see what you saw. thanks for the awesome video!
Oh, the history of it all! Thank you for sharing your findings! I'm inspired to go see these areas in person. Also, I'll have to start exploring the Orange County Library downtown.
Great analysis and research, thanks for the hard work! I have little doubt that if Walt would have lived even another 5-10 years longer, alot of WDW would indeed be alot different than it is now. The guy was a true visionary and genius!
Adam this is great! Thank you for all your sleuthing and coming up with the details and answers to all of this! Excellent couple of videos you have done on this subject.
Quite the detective sir. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed these videos. Cool to see you so excited about your discovery. Nice to see someone really care about their home history. Thanks
Happy Birthday Adam the woo man I know today is not your birthday but I wanted to be one of the first to wish you a happy birthday I really admire you that should mean something coming from a 60 year old man that is been sick ever since 2000 you go to places I never be able to go and I want to thank you for that I hope tomorrow will be the best day of your life. I just hope you realize how much joy you bring to people like me across the world always one of your fans much love from Georgia.
Really find your vlogs like this so interesting, we do come to Orlando from the UK but mainly in the 2 weeks we have do WDW, universal & IOA, Kennedy space centre, so find the history you tell us so interesting. Thank you Adam.
Awesome! I'm glad you mentioned about the dome and the underground parking. Walt Disney didn't want any car traffic in the main city hub so even delivery trucks would park underground
@thedailywoo We always enjoy your stroll through Celebration Adam and love visiting Fortuna bakery when we are in town at Disney World. We are really enjoying your history videos and has made us dig up some more info on the Disney Family homestead in Goderich/Bluevale Ontario Canada and get out there to film it again soon and update our original video. Thank you for the inspiration both you and @scottontape have helped us build the desire to get moving and filming again. We love that the layout is based on the town of Goderich Ont where his parents and grandparents grew up.
Happy Birthday Adam, we hope you're having a blessed day! We have been enjoying your videos, and especially enjoyed your videos with your mom, dad and sister. Your dad said something about starting a blog, and we need to go back and find what he said his youtube channel is. Your parents did an awesome job raising you, and we really appreciate you! By the way, you have been saying things about being 'old' and seeming like you may retire at 50, well, you are not old! You are really young, and you make a huge difference in the lives of your audience! Again, happy birthday! We hope your dad is enjoying a great big pizza in memory of his celebration of your birthday!
Adam, It was interesting to see Walt's overall plan for the airport. Back in 1966 when you look at the airport you can see they had already planned for two runways. At this time in the U.S. the number of airports that had two runways could be counted on the fingers of one hand. Air travel at this time was still a luxuary that most could only hope to do some day. When Walt's plans for WDW were announced a lot of so-called experts said it would loose money because people would'nt go on holiday very often. Back then families might only make one or two big holiday trips in all the time the kid's were growing up. These day's people are on holiday more than they work. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Very interesting update. Just thinking of what Walt would have expanded and what he and Roy had in mind if they had lived longer. They’ve had very good employees to carry on their dreams that still live on.
Wow you found the location. Great job on researching all this history. I’ve been thinking about this since you posted this a few days ago. As always top notch Vlog👍🏻
Great video Adam! I had a lot of fun copying and overlapping images myself to see if I could match up where everything was at. Nice work!! Seems like the old hanger/airport was right around Reedy Creek Fire Station 4's current location.
This is fascinating, nI can only imagine how covenant it would be to be able to fly directly into property versus finding alternate route to WDW being that I do not drive. Love these videos Adam vey intriguing to think what all was in Walt’s brain that never came to fruition.
