Their moment on the beach killed me, seeing the expression on Yaz's face of pure sadness, she looked like she was trying really hard not to fall apart. Meanwhile, the doctor tried to express the Emotional mess that she was hanging out there. It was so touching for her to say that she was afraid of pain, not directly, but you can see how shaken she is. How she wants to give herself up, but at the same time, she's so scared of losing Yaz. To get hurt again because of love. Which is completely understandable, she lost a lot, got hurt a lot. And she doesn't want that to happen again with Yaz. This special made me very emotional, especially the Yaz and Doc scenes, those scenes affected me a lot. It was beautiful, but also melancholy.
ok so i like. stopped watching doctor who a solid two or three years ago (after series 12 or 13??? maybe?) but i randomly had the most tragic dream about thirteen and yaz and all the sudden i'm in this rabbithole again. and i apparently missed a LOT. (i really like the song linger by the cranberries for these two!)
