Store-entrance amnesia happens to me all the time! 😂😂 So nice of you to share the photo and message about your dad. This is my second year without my mother here on earth and it's even worse than the first Christmas without her. Lots of tears but even better memories. You have poured a great deal of yourself into your Christmas celebration. It is my hope for you to take in all of the pleasure that those around you are receiving.... I am very sure that you bring much joy into your family and I hope that you are filled and overflowing with the Joy and Love that not only fills this season.... but everyday... You also made me think.... that I should probably bake something.... It is just me and my dad (he will turn 90 in a few weeks), my siblings (all older) are in different states, and my son I may not see until after the New Year... otherwise it would just be a regular Monday night dinner... nothing special.

Brain fog when shopping happens to me all the time! I always make a list in the note section on my phone as I always have that with me and if I write a list on paper , 9 times out of 10 I would forget it ! 🙈 cakes look absolutely fabulous, I wish I liked Christmas cake as making them looks fun xx
Such fantastic cakes so beautifully presented. I have an Alastair also . It’s hard loosing a parents I lost my parents in their 90s I am so blessed and miss them dearly. ❤
Don't worry about your sanity Christmas is just amplifying our failures. Today was a slower paced one for me but I did start with the final shop before Christmas. I will have my boys here soon one arriving tonight and the other arriving tea time tomorrow. xx
