I joined clapper last night, as an experiment, I uploaded two videos, in under 12 hours, one video got 200 views and another just blew up. The one that blew up I posted twice on UA-cam and UA-cam wouldn’t push it, I reference my appreciation for Taylor Swift, in the intro, les than 5 seconds in, and the most views I got on UA-cam was 5 the first time and 7 the next time.
In under 12 hours on clapper I have more than 30 new followers, my total on UA-cam in 5 months…47 subscribers. UA-cam is a sad tale of not promoting new people unless they have a large subscriber base, and that’s pathetic and sad.

I got you! Go to settings > manage account > there is a setting called “do not view NSFW” > make sure “not view” is selected
With clapper you can only have one account it seems. I’ve tried to use different emails and it says “this device” knowing it’s my phone. So I have two businesses and a personal account. Should I just make one and try to somehow brand them all together or should I just run with 1? 😅
Make 1 account. Since you can really be open with your content it's really only necessary to have 1 account.
I’ve jumped on Clapper because I was so late to TikTok and I’m struggling to get followers even though I get good views on my videos (in respect to follower number). I’m hoping to monetise social media channels to support the cat refuge I’m opening - so we’ll see! 😂

@@creatorsbycass thank you ❤️ it’s been a long time coming but I’m getting there! Clapper is feeling a bit like there are lots of bots. I’ve already got 19 followers in 8 hours but only 8 likes on 2 videos. Feels a bit off to have such a high ratio of followers:likes - time will tell, I guess!

My concerns are that it's 18+ so that means it would be a relatively "cringe" app to the teens, like 16+ and it would be an issue for the app becoming popular, along with the fact that many people have way too high expectations for it because they are coming directly from tiktok. Also their own content seems really low quality and there's controversy about it.
I just made an account but those were my first impressions. I do know they have a lot of room to grow and I'm hopeful for it, but also as an artist it's very difficult to gain attention since most of my audience is 14-24 or so😅

I've seen a few!! But honestly, if I were you, I would try going live and see if that helps you make connections over there. There is definitely a spot for everyone on Clapper. It just takes some patience and getting used to.

Okay I figured out the watermark thing - I’m a lol concerned about music - thoughts? Bc they obvs don’t have rights to same songs
It shows as my sound but I feel like eventually they’ll flag vids that use music not on their platform riiight?
It’s very easy and free to remove the watermarks. I do it with all my videos. They say it’s not a good idea but one my best performing videos on clapper was a repurposed Tik Tok vid.

I'm taking issue with something you said around the 24-minute mark. You told us our infrastructure isn't ready... Are you willing to put the country at stake for TikTok? I get it. I don't trust politicians either but China is trying to get a bag the same way we are. And if not China, someone, and in my opinion, by any means. Would you allow a child to play in the street? In the last five years, I've heard young adults talk about surgery to fix something. Like you said, "it's not ready...." Clapper is better
On Clapper if you send gifts to someone 60% goes to Clapper which is huge %. The app is new and because it takes such a big % they close eyes very often on sexual content. Girls get very quickly hundreds viewers when they go live and they set goal (how much gifts they need to get in total per stream) and once goal is reached they go to DND (private live) where is limited rooms max 40 but they can set even less like top20 gifters get access others adios or min amount of coins need to spend on a gift and send it to join DND. So Of girls feel very comfortable on this app adding + their links including popular app fambase where ppl join and can join their lives to, but there are other rules, girls set a certain gift as a ticket to join current live. Some abuse when they have many fans they just go live and live their phones somewhere going to sleep.
