It was a blast riding with you Tyler. The crashes though were harmless but I still don’t know how I crashed so many times 😂 I’ve done the trails multiple times, maybe it was the camera? Nice meeting ya
It was just like old times hahaha Glad you were ok after those crashes tho, remember how u always used to video me crashing? Tables have turned 🤣 Hope to ride again soon bro 🤝🍻
@@TheButlerNZ it was definitely not what I was used to as a rider from Rotorua where rocks and Clay are as rare as hens teeth, but it was such a cool experience exploring makara and I’m sure in summer it’s not as spicy 🤘
Cool video dude. That's my last local. If you're coming back I can show you around. I won't be crashing like your mate did though,,😂. That was a crack up but so lucky at the same time I hope he didn't get injured. Theres a hole lot of gaps you missed on mid pohatu as well
Chur, I’ll probably make it back to Welly just after Xmas and I’d be keen to give some of the harder black trails at makara a go on my new bike. Daksh was unbroken after that day only a little bruised hahaha
@@TheButlerNZ it was probably one of the more interesting climbs, I mean strugggling to find traction on a rocky hillside and swing bridges is not exactly something we get here
@@tylerpaulmtb1926 I really loved Rotorua (When I wasn't throwing up from over exhausting myself by the end of the day). I LOVED corridor.. so spent most of the day there... Woulda come back the next day if it wasn't wasted recovering... Sigh. Wainui tracks are closer to Rotorua but you can't beat that pumice drained soil... When you get to the Welly coast it's more like the Scottish highlands... All gorse and shingle. Sharp shrapnel, I nearly cut right through a 1mm thick leather bike jacket falling off a trailbike there... Theres potential for a 6.6k uninterrupted freeride with 488m drop (From the radome to the sea). The current track is a firebreak so not that popular... and it's all rock.
Yeah I think it’s also what the trails are made of, Auckland is like clay and sand, roto is dirt and South Island is more rock based. I still haven’t made it to Queenstown tho 😔
I bought a fox float x2 of trade me and put it on, the thing is just incredible, it mashes up the tech, and floats over jumps very well. Really recommend 👌 nga mihi

I have never seen so many crashes in one run 😂 great video man
lmaoo not the shortcut, that thing is killer
Great place to riding 🤙
It sure is ✌️
Nice video, Makara peak looks awesome for riding. And those were some unlucky crashes
Makara is so sweet, and his stacks were pretty mega 😳
That place looks sick! Sweet video. Daksh really showed how hard you can push a hardtail
Yeah bro I was struggling to keep up to him on his little hard tail, that kid would absolutely thrash those trails if put on my bike
@@tylerpaulmtb1926 Yeah definitely! Do you know if he has ever considered buying a fully?
@@randommountainbiker9305 he’s in the convincing parent stage of getting one
@@tylerpaulmtb1926 we've all been there
nice vid! tracks looks pretty sick there
Thanks Ben👊Wellys got some pretty sweet trails but I find myself getting lost without a local to show me around

Yeah I think makara peak had some pretty cool trails that I’d definitely like to check out more next time I’m down
Super cool video bro 🤩🤘🔥 Awesome looking trail 👍
Thanks so much for the nice comment bro
It's very impressive for cross the bridge ;)
Hahaha I might be a little scared of heights

Buen video amigo 👌😃🇪🇦🇪🇦
Gracias amigo ✌️
pretty good vid bro
Shot
oh man that berm crash is gnarly, I always wondered what would happen if someone went off...
Yeah I felt really bad when he went flying off the edge of the berm, lucky he managed to somehow miss the gorse bush and end up in Manuka
It's so true that the further south you go the trails get harder, The blues are way harder in Queenstown and the south island.

@@tylerpaulmtb1926 If you ever get to queenstown, ride Mc nearly gnarly atleast once, it was the best blue jump trail I've ever ridden in my life!
Descenso muy guapo 👌
¡Hahaha Gracias mi amigo!
I hope you don't have the curse! Tracks looked fun.
Hahaha I’d say 3 crashes in a single lap is the curses doing 👀
😍😍😍
😍😍😍😍
Kia Ora - what rear suspension is that? I have the 2017 enduro 650b and looking to upgrade from the base rear shock.

@@tylerpaulmtb1926 what travel and length is it? I was told the 230x60mm wouldn’t fit.
@@phillipshipton5903 170mm travel. I dunno about the specifics, just took it into the bike shop and they legit had it on and fitted in 20 mins
I wanna see more daksh please and more wellington riding
Awesome video Tyler! I hope we can go for a ride together, just remind me not to go in front of you. 😅
Thanks Kevin!! Riding with you would be sick!! Just be aware of the curse 👀
Great vid 👌. What was the overall descent kms?
Thanks!! I think around 8.5 k’s in single track decent and around 500 vertical meters decent from the trails in this vid
The Curse of the camera lives on!! Lol😁
Haha yeah the curse is back for sure 👀
Ahh..., watching again later there are so many dumb crashes 😅 but ig it happens bahaha
"bahahahaah" he says
😂@@rubenarmstrongmtb
