What a great surprise to hear 'You Were There" included in the set. Not sure he's ever done that live. And as the band brought it to what sounded to be a close, and I'm thinking 'Eric HAS to take the outro solo', sure enough God makes his presence felt.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful concert. I am 76 years old and my wife and I have seen him in live concerts from Cream to Blind Faith to the present time for 56 years and over 35 concerts. He is a true legend and still has the feeling in his guitar playing and solos. I love his music most at The Royal Albert Hall concerts. Thank you again from New Jersey U. S. A..
yeah his royal albert hall performances are my overall favorites.I think hes had more great performances there than about anywhere..Budokhan is the other place he has a ton of great ones
32:54 is such a wholesome moment. Eric saying "I love you too" when someone yelled "I love you Eric" in the audience. He doesn't usually do that. In fact he's been smiling and showing more positive emotion than usual from what I've seen and heard about this tour so far. Eric must be really enjoying/looking forward to his touring this year. This is all very nice to know. He may be 79 but the passion and love for music hasn't left him yet and won't for a long time still I'm sure. God bless you Eric.
You are completely right. I don't think he has ever done that from what I've heard. I think he is definitely softening somewhat recently! Most of the times I have seen him he just says "Thank You!" 😂
It’s weird, because a lot of people have slagged him on this tour, for not really engaging with the audience. I was there in Liverpool and he seemed really happy to be there 🤷🏼
@@mrsoul4231 A lot of people have just slagged this tour in general for stupid reasons unfortunaty, so I'm not surprised. But hey, us true fans are always their supporting him and that's all that matters

Big thank you to the arena and the engineers - amazing sound. The set list was amazing and Andy was a great support and Eric’s band cooked. Eric - u were amazing ! So much feel u still have x
Best I've heard him play for a while that. EC will be 80 next March. He can still play those little runs of notes that are filled with so much feeling. He is a legend.
Agreed. Saw him at Hyde Park around 2018; and just before COVID hit at the Royal Marsden charity gig. Both times I thought he was a bit pedestrian - he just didn't fly with his playing. However, this tour he def has his fire back. Those moments when he's lost in his playing - THAT'S what I paid for my ticket to experience.

Thanks for posting this 👍 Was there last night and just enjoyed watching it all again. Great to see him, all the hits and a bit of chat would have been even more appreciated. But I'm not complaining, saw Clapton! Band were great, my lad particularly like the Hammond organ guy 👍
A bit of chat is the most you'll ever get from Eric, but that's fine :) Hammond guy is Tim Carmen. Look up Eric's Crossroads gig from 1999, particularly Old Love, for some more of Tim's style 👍
Less talking = more music, perhaps but the comment goes to show how a few words can sometimes make a real difference to how fans feel an artist connects with an audience (or not). Eric never was one for saying much between songs. He’s always very forthcoming in interviews - maybe he’s just very focused on doing the job in front of him 🤔
