- Janet Jackson, interviewed by Paula Yates on The Tube circa 1987 around the release of "Let's Wait A While". Talking about her career, Jam and Lewis, Prince movies, acts she admires and her family.
She looks so much like Michael here. I also like how she mentions some R&B greats here; Prince, Stevie, Whitney.
I miss her so much, I hope she'll be going back on stage and the studio soon. The music world just isn't the same without her.

I know right every time I look at her I see Michael
But I also find it funny that conceptually or purposely around the same time period 1987 to 90, the BAD Era, at the time estranged middle sister Latoya ,also. Had resemblance and comparison in looking very much like Michael, So yea and my opinion yes during different periods of time those 2 sisters did tend to almost have a striking resemblance to michael st different occasions, I do also recall at one point or couple of interviews in the late 90s early 2000s and in some photos latoya did have a little resemblance to sister Janet I think it was even around the time she had got her belly button pierced just like janet had and showed it off in the release of her 2006 album , at one point or another they did look alike , for sure ,it's funny but true, and inevitable due to their jackson genes and looks from both same parents Joseph and Katherine.

Im so thankful I was born when I was. Janet is a constant in my memories and I cannot believe she is still touring with the same passion as ever before
I was about 10 feet away from Paula and Janet during this interview at The Tube that day. Later, Janet posed for a picture with my band (who were also appearing) after the performance. Fun times!

Possibly because she stayed loyal to Jam & Lewis by not working with Prince. Jam & Lewis came out of Princes talent pool & borrowed his sound, to great success.

this interview was in the year 1987, janet jackson was born in the year 1966. i subtracted 1987-1966 and that is 21 years. janet was 21 years old in this video. i was shocked.she looks so pretty and sounds so young.

She and the label felt she didn't have enough material for a full scale tour. Wise decision. Her Rhythm Nation tour still holds the record for biggest debut tour by any artist in history....

Yea totally agree and thought right away when seeing this interview, is that she so much looks like michael here in this interview, it's the hair line on the side with a little hanging in the front, cept michael had the little curl in the front of his forehead, but I also think michael resembled Janet's hair style during the dangerous Era specifically the Remember the time music video ,look at when janet wore her hair straight and to her shoulders and Michael's hair style in the Remember the time video
God, I was really surprised by that close-up of Janet at 1:53. That sort of thing was pretty unusual for cameramen (or women) to do in 1987 in the UK.

me too. although I always mistaken janet for michael, even though it's so obvious that they have the same last name. But when I found out that they're siblings, I started listening to janet's music, too. After that I always tell people that Michael and Janet are on my no. 1 most favorite artists.

tmjw69 no this interview was n 87 the same year the bad album was released, these interviews in 87 was to p promote the 1814 Rythem Nation album and her first world tour. But yeah Bad was released 4months apart from 1814 RN album

The bad album was due to be released in Nov, 87, but, because of the anticipation of the album, they decided to allow it to be released two months ahead of time, September 1st 87, however the bad tour went from 88 to January of 89, so whoo'ewl, I'm really really off by decades, as far as the years😱, last week in Detroit, someone called near a bus driver, who was 31 years old, I'm with a child, a wife, who was pregnant with their second child, and a whole house the people that really loved him, tonight he is dead from the coronavirus, due to the person who coughed on his bus, there are much bigger things, that r going on, right this very second, in the world, to be worried about, and arguing over, I can assure you my friend, instead of, going back and forth, over albums, and looks, from decades ago, just because I made a comment,to someone else and that neither you or I know, and had absolutely nothing to even do with you, ijs🤷 like for real.LoL OMG, Mafucka's be trippin, oware shit, that has absolutely not one fucking thing, to do with them 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😀😀😀😛
