I'm no expert but imo Chilliwack is highly under-rated and under-appreciated. Incredibly excellent songwriting and production even 40+ years ago was always well ahead of its time. It's a shame we lost Brian so early. Cudos to you Bill for your contributions to Canadian music - it stands right up there with everything else globally!!! Love you!!

Chilliwack is a hidden Canadian treasure. So many great songs. I have an old broadcast of Chilliwack history back from late 80s with interviews and songs. I will see if I can post it one day.

Certainly a musical icon of Canada, for us this was like a diet soda When you reflect and listen to Chilliwack in the early days The first double LP was and is one of the greatest recording ever made in Canadian music history In our less than humble opinion, still he is a masterful artist Thanks for this.

I agree and think the album 'wanna be a star' is a God darn masterpiece. If you listen to it proper. I think it's in my top 10 of all time.

I’ve heard this song 100 times and always loved it… But never made the connection to Billy Joel’s Honesty until I saw this video!

This was a great little piece of music history! I love this song, but I never caught the small similarity to Billy Joel's 'Honesty' until Bill pointed it out!
Like many here in The States, my introduction to Chilliwack came from seeing their 'My Girl' video on MTV in 1982. Later in 1989, my brother and I obsessively searched record stores and conventions for the 'Wanna Be a Star' and 'Opus X' LP albums until we found them (I still have mine).
Thank you Bill, your music has been a part of the soundtrack of my life for almost 40 years!

Since moving to the Maritimes I've struggled to explain the visceral bond of west coast culture and all of its sonic components. Bill is a VIP, a founder and custodian of that culture, from the Haight to the Strait.

Billy Joel would have said that Bill Henderson "borrowed" the little piece in the song. Joel says he "borrows" from others in his career, just make it work and give credit if you have too. Great song, I listen to the greatest hits album on UA-cam all the time, just great songs and memories..

I never would've guessed that "I Believe" sounds like Billy Joel's "Honesty"......not until you pointed it out. Maybe you shouldn't have said anything. LOL

I'm not a musician, but there's only so many notes on a scale, right? I believe(oops, lol) eight? Arranging them in a way that's pleading to the listener is what a song writer is trying to accomplish. That said, there is bound to be overlap. Anyway, I love your music, Bill. Thank you for it.
