- Just a quick unboxing of the regular C34k. It's still a good buy and you still do get some upgraded parts compared to the c14/24 kits. More to come on these and the mods I decided to go with. Subscribe for more RC fun!

Order straight from WPL, they have awesome service
yes they do!
I'm in Australia and received 3 out of 3 in straight boxes from WPL
axle gears are likely powder tech, looks like pot metal but more precise and hard too.
even in plastic, nice to see grub screws on the telescoping drive shafts. metal suspension links also a pretty nice surprise to see in that kit.
trimmed the solid ends off the coils of the stock C-24 shocks to drop the "monster B-1" about 3/16", gave it the larger stock MN-D90 tires/rims and tan gearbox, waiting on a steering servo... byebye toy grade Tx/Rx. need some solder to wrap up some wheel weight for this B-1 project, can tell it'll have 2" worth of single wheel lift with the other 3 still down flat, pretty good flex for a B-1beast. the slammed C-24 does drift, oh chit!!
Haha nice. Yeah the gears look well made so hopefully it's as good as the other 2 style gears I purchase. I want to purchase mn model tires. I wonder if they have the same tire but without the sct style offset?
haven't seen.. the MN tires are identical to cheap toy crawler tires, same tread pattern and offset. wish the Fayee would use better rubber, but they do soften up some with bag soaking. seen WPL to 12 mm hex adapters in eBay 4-5 bucks a set, but 1.9's are way too huge for a WPL.
it'd be a small niche market but it'd sure be nice if someone were producing nice 1.4" rims and grippy tires for the WPL size hexes at reasonable prices, like 15 bucks a complete set. the Fayee rims are o.k. but still kinda toyish, they look very good on a C-14 or MN-D90, the extra width and square tread face does help stability a bunch.
The yellow looks pretty cool
It is cool but the hood is a little bit lighter of a yellow. Just a very little bit. Almost not enough to trigger my OCD lol
grrr... if it's not totally eye catching then ok maybe.
@@modelnutty6503 its probably just mine! I bet you. I have that kind of luck haha.
So even after about 2hrs of fiddling, testing, and more tweaking I have to throw in the towel. I can't keep driveshafts in this or get both axles running smoothly. The plastic driveshaft hold screw holes are now stripped out too. I used the setup info from the C34km assembly tips to get the lengths of the links dialed in. Fortunately, it looks REALLY good sitting on my workbench! I have all metal axles and driveshafts on the way though.
People don't waste your money on the C34k, get the C34km. The RTR might be better than the C34k, I can't say yet. Seriously thinking of getting a RTR to see how it stacks up.
I didn't have a problem with my axles running rough. Seem to have been lucky up to now to not have any axle issues that I wasn't able to easily sort out(keeping fingers crossed). Those plastic driveshafts with the screw on the other hand have been an issue(stripped plastic threads and even if not it doesn't handle torque well either). I really only like to recommend the KM stuff if your really going to run it and get a regular kit if you want a shelf queen to stare at. I have 3 WPLs that I have as static models at the moment. Top right C34KM, C14K and B36K of some of my recent videos.
Ahahhaahaha, Banged up good!
Great reviews and runs Dude, great stuff thanks RTR.
Glad you like them!
Sorry I couldn't get back to you about the quality of the metal gears, only had a couple of test runs with it before giving it to my dad, but he's had plenty of use with no issues so far.
Great channe! keep up the good work dude.
Thanks! I appreciate your support!
Very nice kit and a great video bro 👍😊👍
Thanks for the support! Yeah it's not too bad at all.
Thanks for the review bro..
No problem!
Use hot air for bent stuff but not too much....
I used a lighter. But this one was bent so far it cracked. I can still see the crease and little crack unfortunately. It's a minor one. Roll it over a couple time you won't be able to tell the difference lol.
i just bought the c34k and really hope it like that. got from bangood.thanks
you will like it. nice looking trucks.
Gonna order this kit
It's not bad at all. These are sweet fj40s
Fix the crack line carefully with a hot air gun. I had the same issue and the white crack line disappeared 100%
I did do that. Unfortunately there is a little crack and the line won't completely go away. But after a couple roll overs it will blend in lol.
Its not just Banggood, I got my C34 off eBay and the box came crushed too. My FJ body was deformed and I had to tweak the plastic to get it back in shape.
It really is the shipping companies fault. I hope it gets better because I usually get my packages with minimal damage if any till these recent orders unfortunately.
Nice sorry to see the back of your can came damaged. Great unboxing looks like a killer kit . So jealous you got both of them lmao can't wait to see how it holds up .
It's also a good one. The km feels like its double the weight lol. I like them both!
Nice review 👍
I purchased mine on eBay. Still on the way and hope it’s not going to arrive in that state 🤞
I think no matter where you buy them from during the transit they stack hundreds of parcels on top of another and they get squashed . I think they should use bit more harder type of cardboard for packaging. At least for international shipments.
I hope you are going to make a complain to them regarding the damaged body part.
Yeah the shipping companys they use seem to like playing soccer with the packages lol. But it shouldn't be the costumer who pays for it but in some cases do. Well I guess its minor in this one. Thanks for your support bro!
#BackYardTrail
I want it! Now to convince the wife! Wish me luck lol.
David, it is all your fault I am hooked on these now... Seriously though your videos were the reason I bought one, and have mods and another one on the way. And I suspect it won't stop there. LOL! I just got my C34K finished. The instructions suck, they tell you to find screws they didn't give you, and ones that won't fit if they did (like the wheels). You could probably do a video on that alone.
Hey do you have a video talking about all the setup mods to make the stock axles work (until my metal ones come) and get the geometry better, and all that? I have seen mentions of bits here and there, but trying to find an all inclusive video.
My axles will not stay together and I want to run this a little bit at least before the upgrade parts come in. I don't have a stockpile yet.
Is that the regular C34 kit? the one that comes with plastic axles but has metal ring and pinion gears in diff? I build these without the help of the instructions but that won't help if your just getting into the hobby. When i had a regular c34 kit i didn't run into any issues while building. Unfortunately can't make a update video on those axles because i do not own that C34 anymore. It was a giveaway for my 1k subs. They are getting better with the newer kits instructions so i hope it gets easier to build these. Also when you build more of these they do get easier because you learn the tricks and quirks of these kits.
@@RunThatRC Yes, it is that one. I probably jumped the gun buying it and should have spent $20-30 more for the C34KM... I didn't know there was a difference. Oops. Alright I will try adjusting the suspension arm lengths to flip the input up some.
is it better for crawling than the b24?
I would have to say yes it is better than the b24.
