Hi Dave, I am from New Zealand, you have inspired by to go to Dorset and check out some of the amazing walks there. Thank-you for you walks on youtube,
Another Friday and another great walk with Dave and Logan! We have some amazing countryside in this country makes me want to explore more of it. Thank you.
Another spectacular walk! In my dim and distant youth I used to be a huge Hardy fan but cannot remember many of the tales now though I do remember being shocked and harrowed by Jude the Obscure - because we are too many. You did well to abridge 200 miles odd into half a dozen! Reader's Digest will be on to you!! They do say home is where the heart is and that rung true at the end! Thank you for another entertaining video.
Dave you sure do give us some lovely views. Hope you and Logan are well. Thank you so much for a beautiful walk. Take care and have a wonderful week.☀️
Thank You Dave for that fabulous journey through Hardy Country. Hardy is one of my favourite Novelists, and i have read a little bit about him. I was most intrigued by the picture of his cottage in that small valley. It was very reminiscent of another famous person, Laurie Lee, who also lived in a valley, whose house was very similar, but that was in Stroud, Gloucestershire, not Dorset, and both of them had very different temperament's from what i have read.
Hi Dave really enjoyed this video used to live Nearby and walk my dog along the river most days brought back lots of happy memories thanks for sharing ❤
We did get a little lost today, ended up going around Puddletown forest a couple of times 🤣 We did it from Stinsford, along the riverside, lower Bockhampton etc, rain did catch us out today but sheltered by the pond in the woods. Feet are feeling it now as it turned out a 10 miler 🤣🤣
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! We are both Dorset born and as newlyweds back in 1975 my hubby and I lived in Eagle Lodge, the lodge house to Stinsford School. It is still there but privately owned, I think, now. We used to enjoy walking by the river and in Thorncombe Woods. It was all a lot quieter of course, back then. Less well known!
Nice walk, Dave. Very interesting things to look at to. Yes. Logan really was jn the river. Right up to his chest and afterwards seemed to have renewed vigour. Thanks for showing us that beautiful area.
6:49. For really big wood ants nests, you should try Arne Nature reserve. I used to work there in the early 1980's and five footers were plentiful. I love your videos, keep them coming!
Only yesterday I was thinking that I’ve not seen a video from you in a while and was wondering how you and Logan were doing…then this morning I see this video and you are in my area…Puddletown being the village I live in!
What a lovely area to live in. We publish a new video every week so if you press the notification bell, you will be able to keep up to date with our adventures! Thanks for watching.
Brillant Dave. As usual! Somewhere always wanted to investigate the Hardy way. Sorry you didn’t get your pint and Logan his crisps…… God bless Ralph and Sheila
Stunning video dave .So much has changed as to the 2 cafes .New to me .I did pass the college 3weeks ago as in Dorchester for the day .The keep military museum ,Park gardens ,river walk and the Hangmans cottage .
Hello Dave, many thanks for the videos. Love the detailed and historical information.I am holidaying in Dorset this coming Summer using Wareham as my base and was recommended to look your walking site. I notice that your walks tend to commence at car parks. Would it be possible to say how to access your walks by public transport please as I love to walk but do not own a car. Perhaps you could mention if it is possible to join any of your walks at any point from a bus stop or train station. Many thanks.
Thank you. I hope that you have great weather when you visit Dorset later this year. I don't start filming again for the 2025 season until early March but I will take your feedback onboard. Thanks for watching.
@DaveFord thank you so much. I will be going in July so plenty of time! I appreciate you taking my comments on board and will look out for new videos. X
Is there any chance you can map your walk so we could follow it?. we have done your walks in the past and they are great but hard to find your route, and it would be great if you put it on AllTrails or something so we could follow your exact route?
Hi. I always put a map as one of the pictures on my post of the walk on my Facebook page "Dave's Countryside Walks", and you can then take a screen print? So if you want to find a map, just put the walk name in the search bar pf the Facebook page & that should take you to the post for that walk. Hope that helps.
As a Kingston Maurward College student, I really appreciate this video.
Thank you & indeed thanks for watching.

Tomorrow’s walk, thanks Dave and Logan 😘
Looks like you should have dry weather. Hope you have an enjoyable walk (you might need waterproof shoes after all the recent rain!).
@@DaveFord we’ll be well prepared for anything Mother Nature might throw at us ☺️👍

@@jorose6093 Goodness me. I hope that you managed to find somewhere for "light refreshments" to recover!

Thank you both. A pint at the end would certainly have been most welcome that day!
Another lovely walk Dave, though I did think you might've joined Logan in the river for a spot of Skinny-D! Keep 'em coming, splendid work all round.
Ah - that river was a wee bit too deep for me!
Stunning video dave .So much has changed as to the 2 cafes .New to me .I did pass the college 3weeks ago as in Dorchester for the day .The keep military museum ,Park gardens ,river walk and the Hangmans cottage .
Thanks Ian. The woodland at Kingston Maurward is quite stunning - especially around the lake. Free parking as well which in this day & age is amazing!
My dad always used to say cheerio , don't hear it much these days.
I think I picked up the word from my Dad!

"Avast, ye land lubbers"
"For 'tis Captn Mr Logan now,
Master of all the waters afore me"
Occasional puddle dipper too...
Yes indeed!
Hi Dave
Have you any more New Forest walks scheduled for this year?
Yes, I plan to film a walk along the entire course of the Beaulieu River some time in the next few weeks.
Is there any chance you can map your walk so we could follow it?. we have done your walks in the past and they are great but hard to find your route, and it would be great if you put it on AllTrails or something so we could follow your exact route?
