UA-cam has its faults but its fantastic thyat so much rare stuff get brought out into the public domain. Great song, great band and I have always felt that Clash Mk II was an underated line up.
I always loved this album, this line up even if nothing can't beat the original Clash, too many people talked shit about the 'Cut The Crap' album. Joe, we miss you so bad!
On "Cut The Crap" there's an electronic drum machine instead Pete Howard, there isn't the Vince White guitar and the Nick Sheppard work very little. I think that lp can be more interesting with their contributes. Cut The Crap tacks from live they are something else the lp tracksfrom
This is an unofficial recording from the gig itself. I have this on a couple of bootleg LPs and this is from the same source. So it has not been cleaned up or anything..
@@adeyread6581 Ah fair enough. I don't think it sounds bad or anything quite the contrary. I like the opening riff and build up, but it does sound more metal sounding to me.
Saw them in 84 in chapel hill nc on this tour, stood so close to strummer he could spit on me. Most important musical moment in my life.
I was at this gig - one of three times I saw them. Great band, just great.

Remember the Olden Days, buying “Bootlegs” and Imports????

They tried to punish Joe
I love this reworking. The opening riff is absolute brilliant. Pete's drumming is top-notch as usual.
Drumming is splendid

Nice!

Not technically the Clash, but cool.
Falta el maestro Miguel Jonathan
Wasn't the Clash supposed to be more Mod or Punk than Rocker? I mean this live version of the song almost sounds Heavy Metal.

It may not be the real Clash, but I guess its as close as you can get without the Mick Topper lineup.
I was at this gig and walked out about 30 minutes in. It just wasn't the same without mick and topper. It felt false somehow.
They took away the whole roots reggae feel … smdh
