Question Sir KP. My parents and I are planning on getting our own firearm for protection and for bonding purposes when target shooting. Based on your experience, is it possible to get LTOPF and LTCOR in one application, or do you need to wait a few months after to apply for the LTCOR? Loving this type of content.

Permit to carry is issued to civilians after a threat assessment done by the pnp and you are approved for one .. if you are just looking to purchase a firearm for sport purposes and “bonding” as you said.. an ltopf is good enough. One you have more experience handling a firearm .. and feel more comfortable around it, know how to safely handle it, then you can try to apply for a permit to carry outside of residence.

Get a licensed first LTOPF, FA Registration and Permit to carry. In our law IWB (Inside the waist band) is not legal. we are only allowed to carry our firearm inside a bag which to be honest ridiculous.
