In today’s video, I review two damage-based fits for the Gallente Nemesis stealth bomber (though similar fits could easily apply to the Caldari Manticore as well). Both of these fittings are intended to apply good DPS to a range of targets from cruisers and miners to battleships and structures. The first fit is basic and easily adaptable to lower SP with CPU mods or T2 to T1 replacements. The second fit is significantly more expensive and difficult, but yields massive damage output. Both fits are augmented by my CPU and missile implants, and could be further improved with better implants and/or boosters.
These stealth bomber fittings are designed around solo and small gang PvP, primarily in wormhole space and lowsec systems. Due to the proliferation of intelligence channels and gatecamps throughout nullsec, I do not generally advise roaming PvP for single bombers. This fit also skips the option of a bomb launcher since they are prohibited in lowsec and hard to resupply in w-space roams.

Excellent video... Everyone should be reminded that whatever stealth bomber your choose (Manticore, Nemesis, Purifier, Hound), you must use the torpedo associated with the damage multiplier of that specific ship. Such as Manticore / kinetic damage multiplier (scourge missiles). Otherwise, you will not even get close to the amount of DPS Chance has in this video.

I have a suggestion from my extensive experience soloing with a stealth bomber, Purifier.
Go afterburner and have some signature radius reduction implants. I even had drugs to lower my signature even more. Also I had a medium shield extender. Faction ammo and you are set to go. They never went through my shield and even if they did with a drones, my shield and armor held long enough for me to kill them.
Important thing is that you pick a proper bomber for the region you are in. I went Purifier because people tanked ratts with their shield (kinetic/thermal), but their EM was very low.

In my opinion, the SB is the best Frigate for solo PvP, as it does a good bit of DPS, it's invisible and doesn't cost too much in the long run. People just need to learn how to use it properly. Good job Wingspan.

The best thing to use is called Eve Droid. it's an app for ur phone that tells u the fitting of ships, what damage it will do with ur recent skill level and also how the fitting will look/operate so you know before you just go for it.
I must say, I flew a Stealth bomber, got the bomber's bar fit years ago and I never had any idea how or why I should fit what I did. Long hiatus and then a new corp mate told me about you, (actually a couple guys you ganked) Searched you up, learned a BUNCH and started kicking ass. Thanks man I really enjoy your antics, your letters, and your willingness to help others sneak around and deliver torpedoes. :)
I dimly recall someone showing, that multiple target painters do not increase the signature radius as much as you would expect. You lose 50% efficiency for each extra painter applied.
Having watched all your vids since I found them yesterday, I have to admit to thinking on coming back to EVE. I spent 5 years in hs an 0.0 an miss the game now I watched ally our stuff :). I did alot of solo SB work in outer ring an was never too successful, this though looked great fun. Nice work mate keep up the great work:)
I know you stated this in your video but I've been fail-ganked by so many stealth bombers I have to repeat it. DAMAGE IS NOT EVERYTHING!!! Let me explain:
Torpedoes ( like all missiles) rely on something called blast radius. The goal for max torpedo effectiveness is to have your blast radius match your targets signature radius. That is the point of the target painters and rigs. If your torpedoes do 3000 damage and have a blast radius of 400m, then if you try to attack anything with less than 400m signature radius, you WILL NOT do all 3000 points. Just this morning I was in a brutix navy issue and was attacked by 2 nemesis bombers. They barely hit my armor and they both had to run because I nearly blew one up. There is a big difference between sitting in a stealth bomber and actually killing with it. I used this video to become a stealth bomber 8 months ago and I gave up last month because I could never find any targets I could take on and live.
Almost exactly how my Manticore is set up, but with the Manticore's extra CPU, you can fit a second Torp rig. BOOM :)

I am looking at 2 painters with a loading bay accelerator VS 1 target painter and a signal booster with a Rigor Catalyst. The accelerator adds more on paper DPS, but what say you, oh wise one? Love the videos! Always an honor receiving a delivery, Sir.
Rigor Catatlyst is better than Accelerator or Warhead Catalyst in 85% of scenarios. Also what's a signal booster? Do you mean a sensor booster?
Yes, a Sensor Booster II with a scan res script with one target painter is what I was using. I'll swap the accel for the Rigor Catalyst, thanks Chance!
The Stealth bombers used to have different advantages, but CCP has pretty much equalized them. Here are the old advantages anyway.
Purifier = 3 bombs instead of 2
Manticore = Best CPU to fill slots
Nemesis = Bonused to least resisted damage
Hound = Best speed.
Manticore still has more CPU to use and Hound still has best speed.
Why MWD and not AB? I know you talked about it on the video but expand a bit. The difference of speed is not worth the CPU penalty, or is it? An AB would get you to close 1km/s which is enough to run from anything at 30km distance. No?
And let we talk about lock speed, before fire you need to lock, like frigate how much sec to lock on it. Than, let's talk about torpedos speed explosive velocity, that do affects damage of targeting ship. If targeting ship higher velocity than explosive velocity than damage decreased. That's mean in sample you targeting frig, lock on them until you lock on them he's use ab up to 1600 m/s you won't do full dps on him.
So going to skill up for a Manticore and do torpedo delivery myself! Pew pew!

hey hello there well I am trying to make different fittings for my gnosis... and a fitting that includes 1 or 2 torpedoes does call my interest... another one that I am trying to make is one where the gnosis is a logi... and its roll is to fix its own drones... this for pve... ofcourse... as I don't do pvp.... the goal there is to have the ship MJD to 100km and use 2 drone link augmenters... 3 remote rep... armor/hull/shields and use small augmented drones mid drones and perhaps even long range sentry drones... phased target painter and target disruptor to aid the drones from afar... a long range targeting device would be needed yet the ship has a ton of ways to be configured... the thing that worries me is the cpu... this may be fixed with some cpu extenders... the final goal is to have the gnosis with something like 3 or 5 fits for different roles...

Surprisingly very little has changed! There has been a light torpedo balance pass, but the module setups are still relevant!
@@wingspantt Actually it was my mistake, i didn’t have the Torpedo Specialization trained yet so I couldn’t see the Polarized launchers yet. I must say though, CPU management on the Nemesis is tough.

what about the ballistic mids with precision scripts?
when I was out hunting frigates/destroyers solo I just had two TPs and two precision script enhancers. made for a tiny explosion radius and could 1 shot most frigates or 3 shot a t2 destroyer. only downside was I was just playing on the idea they'd die before warping
Maximus Joseppi Well id do the same with either one less target painter or ballistic. Depends on the Stats after i remove one.
I thought that stacking debuffs have diminishing returns (think about stacking webifiers, target speed does not go to zero). So two target painters should not give you double the effect.
Hi Chance. Nice video and great pdf for a newbie looking to get into the Torp Delivery service. Question for you; I've tried a EFT build and Navy Inferno are now (Dec-15) only showing 870 damage not the 1221 shown here (@4.41) and on all V, EFT shows only 285 DPS with your build. Did something get nerf batted or is EFT wrong?

When i was solo roaming with y bomber, i always got a movbile depot and a full set of module in my cargo like rocket, torpedo, scramble, multiple web, disruptor, combat probe and stuff like that, so i could always refit myself for a potentiel fight
I used to actually carry bombs when I did that and didn't have room in my cargo hold for all that shit.

I can't find any updated guides on bomb bays, any pointers or thoughts for hard points and fire and forget ? markers,warp scramblers etc. ?
i notice your capacitor depletes in 00:48 and mine depletes in 00:30 i followed your bling build to the letter, im guessing it has something to do with skills? and at the end there you said the blind build probably wont be worth it because of the capacitor instability. . .im aiming to get my capacitor skills up to 4 as a bare minimum (my implants are improved +5 to the stat so not sure if ur implants affect the capacitor) my damage is less than your blind version aswell and again im working on skills to improve that, 60 days away :/
Hi Wingspan. I know this video tutorial is a bit dated now but pls can I ask how even playing EVE ONLINE today with that type of SB fit you can use the MWD effectively with x2 TP and a Warp disruptor against an opponent within the time it takes for your CAP to run out. Sorry if I am asking something I should know if I am wanting to fly an SB properly but I also end up with about 40 secs of CAP time if I was to use this fit or similar with the MWD running. Even if I switch off MWD I think I can only engage for just over 1 min with both the WD and x2 TP's running before I am out of CAP. Is this a normal amount of time you should expect prior to uncloaking to engage a target before either destroying them , being destroyed yourself or using the MWD to try to get the hell out of there so you dont get destroyed?
The MWD is primarily for single burst range control, or to bypass gatecamps and wormhole bubble camps, or burning tactical bookmarks. Most of the time if you engage you will have the element of surprise + range control. As such you don't usually need MWD more than 1 or 2 bursts in a fight. The TPs are not that big of a drain, but depending on target you might only need 1 anyway. They are there so you can burst down your target ASAP. If the fight goes on more than 1.5 minutes you are probably dead or can't break their tank!

I think I have WINGSPAN to thank for all the terrible stealth bomber pilots out there. Guys, a friendly reminder - with a few exceptions, stealth bombers can only really *solo* PvP when the other side isn't fit for it, i.e. ratters and miners.
Now i'm so pumped about bombers. The problem is, for now i'm skilled only with hybrids ;/ What minimum missle skills i need to make flying SB viable ?
That's rough, because there are a lot. Instead of listing specific skills I'd say your goal should be to get at least 400 DPS.
Alternatively you could train towards flying a Lachesis recon ship, which uses hybrids and is getting a bunch of buffs in about 2 weeks.
Chance, wouldnt it be better to fit a webifier instead of 1 TP? This would increase average damage output.

how come my dps is 222 without the ballistic control while you have 300+ dps? i already have torpedo specialization to level 4 . only thing i can think of is i have no missile implants but will that give that much more dps? hmmm i cant figure this out

So I know the vid is old but currently (2019) I have the first fit in a simulated fitting. I'm using all t2's. The only difference is I have two T2 catalysts rigs. Adding a WD puts me at -25.7 cpu. Do I have to run a cpu rig? Or down grade some t2 mods. Oh and yes my cpu skills are all lvl 5
Hey I am trying to make this fit work with my newly bought Nemesis and I am noticing that even with max cpu skills I do not have as much as you do. Are you using any implants to make the cpu go above 400 because I am stuck at ~390?
Yes I do have a 3% implant.

Nooby question from a starting EVE player: does it actually matter in which order you put in modules? and if so, why?
If you mean the order you click them in, then no. I typically just fit the most important modules first so if I run out of CPU/grid I know what bare minimum I need to work with.
If you mean which slots they're in, like first or second middle slot, then kind of, but only in one situation. When you overheat modules, they damage the modules adjacent to them. So if you plan to overheat modules you lay them out where your least important ones surround the ones you will overheat. If you're not using overheating though, it doesn't matter!
Ah okay, that clears things up! Watching your video i kinda got confused because you kept switching out modules and said "oh wait, i have to do this one first" :P
Also nice guide, i now know which way i'm heading with my bomber fitting :)
Faction BCUs are MASSIVE overkill, especially for a gank stealth bomber with no tank.

Hey Chance! Nice vid. Listen Mate, I was wondering if you might work on coming up with a Stealth FIGHTER fit, using a bomber hull??? Can it be done??? You see, I love the scanner recalibration time of 0 with the bombers... and its something you don't get with any other hull, short of Black Ops. I'd love to have a solo boat that can take on dessies ... maybe other frigates? So yeah, I'm throwing down a challenge to you 8) ... keep up the good work Mate, see you in space! BTW.. You can fit small blasters on any bomber and it works well against explorer fits (cov ops/asteros etc) and such. Manticore or nemesis with ab, med asb, web scram and blasters can kill most frigates it takes by surprise. Obviously that is not the case against a combat frig that is ready for them.
You want a stealth bomber that can solo destroyers? Not really sure that is possible. If you use unbonused weapons you won't be able to do enough damage, and the bombers aren't agile enough to control range.

1 launcher uses 1750 of the power grid? so at this moment i cant even fit one of them, so is there a way where i can increase my maximum power grid enoigh so i can fit 3 of those 3 launchers?

+XDAnimatie Billie stealth bombers get a 99.6% reduction in pg needs for a torpedo launcher. So whilst it will shown that it cant fit, it will fit on.
Hey WINGSPAN. I'm using this to fit my first Manticore out. I'm finding after done, (using a Small Processor Overclocking Unit I as I don't quite have Weapon upgrades V to get that CPU that hair lower) I'm only at 239.9 DPS. I have Torpedos V, 2x Ballistic Control System II, Caldari Navy Inferno Torpedos in 3 Prototype Arbalest launchers.
What am I doing wrong? Would you be willing to give a noob a hand?
Each bomber is bonused to only one type of torpedo. Inferno is for Nemesis ONLY! Use Scourge torpedoes!

you may have missed the part around 1:30 where he said he has a 2% or 3% CPU hardwiring implant. That and/or skill differences? But probably just the implant.
They must have nerfed the shit out of these things cause I can't get anywhere near the DPS you have. Not even close!
+The Oracle Nope they didn't... make sure you are using the right type of torpedoes for your particular bomber, and make sure you trail Covert Ops to IV or V

You use implants to do that and boosters.

Wingspan I have flown covop Astero in exploration and I am pretty good at the stealth part of this thing, but I have never been the attacking one of pvp. (pve is a different story) So do you (or anyone) have any tips for pvp in a stealth bomber?

What am I doing wrong? I can't even fit one cruise launcher without the power grid going over by 1300... It is messing with my head... I have over 13.6 million sp's so I don't get it.
Stealth Bombers provide a fitting reduction bonus for torepdo launchers... and that's it! You can't fit any medium or heavy missile launchers to them except torpedoes!

What kind of Torps/Missiles should i use against frigs and Destroyers?
+The Fullmetal Titan Trying to kill a destroyer in a bomber is total suicide. I would not try to engage any frigate unless it's an exploration frigate. For that you can use rockets or torpedoes with 2x painter, 2x rigor cats
