Chop several strips of bacon, fry, remove, add a tablespoon or 2 each of vinegar and sugar, cook till sugar dissolves, add bacon pieces to a bowl of fresh spinach, pour the bacon grease, vinegar and sugar over the spinach, serve and eat immediately. Second, add spinach leaves to a bowl of almost boiling hot soup, it wilts only slightly while you eat the soup. Third, make an awesome fresh salad. Fourth, add a thick layer or two of fresh leaves without stems to homemade lasagna.
I grew up eating cooked spinach that was drained of water and mixed with a good dose of vinegar. It's still my fav. way to eat it! I think frozen spinach in pre packaged meals taste like hay!
When I was a kid we didn't have snacks around our house so I ate cans of spinach with lemon juice! 😋 You're right, it makes an excellent snack, and its still delicious!
It's just to hard for me to eat. However, if I cook it..I cut it small. Add a bunch of feta cheese. Makes it so much better tasting to me. Of course I'm probably only tasting the cheese instead of the spinach. I'm good with that😁otherwise all spinach is just ewww🤮

I add the baby spinach to a pan dish once the heat is off. Mix it with the hot 😅ingredients and it is tender.
Love it in place of lettuces on sandwiches and in salads!
