- Hi everyone! Welcome to Christmas with Mr Carrington 🎄 I’m kicking things off with a vlog with @KateMcCabe1 & @LukeCatleugh - we met up in Bury St Edmonds for some festive fun & exchanged thrifted gifts 🎁 hope you enjoy it! 😀

You guys are so counter Christmas culture, wanting to know where the paper came from and leaving the prices on the thifted gifts to show how cheap they were! I love it. They were carefully chosen too. Wonderful to see you all together, what lovely people you are.

Thank you so much for taking us along to your wonderful night away in that lovely place and sharing with us all the opening of your presents and walks around the chairty shops. I really feel like I came along too! It was good to see Kate and Luke again as well, Hi Guys and Merry Christmas xx My family and I always get gifts from the chairty shops too if we see things, great to get a bargain, usually something unusual and of course helping out a charity out at the same time so a win win in my book! I feel all Christmassy now which is great because the decs are going up after lunch today! You all seemed so happy and merry and it's been good to see so many smiles and you all giggling like a bunch of school kids, it was infectious and I was giggling along too!! Thaank you so much for letting us all join you all in the merryment. Cannot wait to see whats next in the lead up to Crimbo, I have busy busy time ahead and will need some fun and respite now and again. Take care, lots of Christmas hugs all round x
What a lovely meet up with friends - love the Air B&B and the area... I've never been to Bury St Edmunds (going to have to go) I also loved all of your thrifted gifts. I have the heart shaped Le Creuset casserole and I use it for cottage pie. I also have the bedside cabinets you saw in the Charity shop. Mr C, this was a perfect vlog to begin the Christmas season. 😍🎄🎅

Hey Iwan, really lovely to see Kate again! The air b&b was super! Gregg’s is taking over the UK it seems. Bury St Edmonds looks like a great place for a short break, especially at Christmas time!

I’ll tell you a funny thing happened to me I went to London with the coach trip college. I was doing photography and me and a couple of girls looking for Greggs and we asked this man Greggs course it was in trafalgar Square and he’s looked at us like we said something terrible he said Greggs what’s Greggs are so funny 🤣 never forget that time that was London enjoyed watching. Thank you for this wonderful vlog. I have been doing "Thriftmas" for decades. Buying things from the op shop as gifts for others. I come across some amazing finds. Crystal glasses, donated new linen still in the pack with original price tag, also includes perfumes, gift baskets etc.I have also brought plates and saucers/cups from different Op Shops and gifted it to my friend who has the same patterned set where some of her pieces have broken over the years. Even when we're chatting about childhood toys I try and find them to gift as a present. Giving items a second life. Vlogs like this show the amazing find you can get for next to nothing. Well done you lot. Lol.
