Whist I would rather watch ITF Taekwondo any day over WTF, which is a hopeless mess, ITF TKD is long overdue a complete overhaul of the sparring format and scoring system. Time to get into the ring and allow far more Taekwondo techniques to be seen than the typical leading leg probing and occasional over the top hand technique. The days for the flat floor sparring format are long over. Two trained fighters spending 90% of their time spoiling whats coming and backing off the floor to safety or hitting the deck knowing it's going to be punch up, interrupt us time, doesn't cut it. When the General modernised the indigenous Korean arts and formulated Taekwondo in 1955, he often said the system could and should be improved going forwards. Get in the ring boys for sparring, the patterns and destruction can stay as they are, otherwise you will be left behind and condemned to remaining a minority activity, as cage fighting and K1 style full contact will not only continue to rule, but will totally eclipse all traditional martial arts competition, beyond any comparison.
Парадокс, когда видишь бои профи в таеквондо итф - их даже смотреть не хочется. очень скучно и до безобразия похоже на каратэ шотокан или олимпийское (но с легким контактом) А бои цветных поясов в ноунейм турнирах - очень зрелищные
Смешно, только твое мнение никому не нужно. Цветным поясам очень далеко до такой скорости, и понимания боя. За плечами профи далеко не одни чемпионаты мира, а чего добился ты? Зачем им (чемпионам мира) слушать человека который только умеет пить пиво под спарринг ИТФ? Или ты так говоришь потому что твой сынок с зелёным поясом выиграл соревнования своего города?

Julio supposed to win that game. He is clearly ahead in terms of points scoring. The ITF Referee/Judges of marks are BIAS and UNFAIR. They deliberately make Julio lose the game. The Korean ITF should do something seeing this. PLEASE. WE NEED JUSTICE AND FAIR ITF FIGHT HERE.
Taekwondo is technique based and is practiced as more of a martial art than a fight. These guys are 2 of the best kick boxers on the planet. Fact. If you want to see 2 guys have a tear up go to the local pub

You can jab, direct and cross. Hook is considered excessive force/contact, though.

I was there at worlds. These guys find guards a hassle because they're so fast.
I know, but its hard to Get in close Range with TKD tif guys plus low hands helps to block kicks easier

I watched this fight. It’s not really how our sport has evolved to be lol Ireland’s team do focus on this but it’s all legs
