No problems, gives me something to do, originally recorded on VHS, then I transferred them to DVD as MPG or DVD format files, now running them to digital and MP4 and converting to 16x9, but now I find there is some AI that will tidy them up even further and upscale them to 4K so not sure whether to go back and start again or carry on. Some of this AI will even lift corrupt files off devices which would be good, I had some disappointment when I got to the game with the Mortlock kick and found the first disc to be corrupted, yet the files still seem to be there, so looking at what to do there.
Yes Aussie here, ABC had it way back when, 87 World Cup then I think it swapped between 7 and 10 for over a period, and then free to air dropped it of course and it went to FOX, I think 2011 World Cup was on Channel 9, coverage not so good.
Gordon Bray did some on the ABC, Norman May perhaps too from memory, Peter Wilkins did the 1987 World Cup. Some interesting co commentators though, one that comes to mind Trevor Allen.
@@dishevellednomad FOX always had S12, at first, they used the 7 crew for Aussie matches (Brumbies, Reds or Waratahs) then Greg Clark and co did it starting in 2001. For the SA/NZ games you had familiar names like Grant Nisbett, Tony Johnson, Gavin Cowely, Hugh Bladen, Garth Wright, Peter Whipp, Guy Kebele, Andy Capastagno etc doing the commentary. Bray did most of the Aussie games, but David Fordham, who was studio host for the 99 World Cup on Seven called a Reds-Highlanders game that season due to daylight savings and the fact it was still stiffing hot at Ballymore, i think Chris Handy was with David in the box and Greg Martin was on the sideline and in 2000 for a Reds-Crusaders game Steve Davie was with Handy in the commentary box while Pat Welsh was on the sideline. Martin did a handful of S12 games with either Bray or Fordham, and Marty Roebuck did a few too. FOX's solution was to fly Tony Johnson out from NZ to Ballymore for those games. Warren Boland and Peter Meares from the ABC did a few of the early S12 games too.

Fordo anchored Channel 10's coverage at least for the 95 World Cup before 7 got it. Gavin Cowley and Chick Henderson called the 95 RWC final for the SABC, was that the "world feed" (kind of like when Ian Eagle called the Super Bowl this year for the World Feed while Jim Nantz did it for CBS) did Fordo call the RWC final for Ten?
I am not sure how the copyright stuff works, sometimes the anthems come up with copyright issues after upload and I mute them out, sometimes they do not. Apologies for this. Other muted stuff will be due to background music etc, be interesting to try the new remove the music but not the speaking function when it is available to all.
