It is a great and detail reaction from an expert, I like it very much.
Alip is an Indonesian Guitarist which is might be the most famous in you tube now with around 5.5 M subscribers with over 500M views. He plays his guitar uniquely with very beautiful sounds (many people said it mesmerizing).
He plays guitar very clean and smooth, he has phenomenal talent.
Mostly he plays covers and there some of his original too. He rearranged all of his covers very beautifully and made most of his covers are even better then the original songs and he made his own compositions also very awesome. He always put emotion in his song.
He has so many phenomenal guitar techniques and many people call him the master of :
- harmonics (I never seen anybody play harmonics the way he does)
- Pull offs and hammer ons ( phenomenally fast and clean)
- Slides ( he slide notes and chords fast and clean )
- Bends ( He bends on the neck and over the neck and both are smooth clean)
- Tempo. He play in very consistency tempo which sometimes changed faster or slower .
- Tuning. Most of his songs he plays are not in standard tuning and he usually put the the modified tuning in his channel. He uses so many kind of tuning and some of its we even cannot find in the guitar literaturs.
He made over 100 videos in the youtube (some already missed in his youtube channel but there still available in other people reaction channels). Most of his videos are covering famous songs from various Genres of Music which he rearranged with his own interpretation and the cover songs mostly sound better than the original ones. He also made his own composition ( about 18 songs) and some of it I considered as masterpieces. He surprised people who watch his video for the first time like you did today but believe me, he will keep surprising you for the next 20 videos (at least). If you want to know better about Alip Bata and his techniques then you need to watch at least 20 of his videos.

Great articulation of what's going on with Alip's playing. Allows us, especially the ignorasmuses, to better appreciate the skills needed in fingerstyle guitar. As for the 'blips', and if you watch more of him, Alip is not one to 'sanitize' his video uploads. His videos are 'one takes', warts and all, even if the warts are far and few in between. That said, am looking forward to more of your review/reaction.
