    About 2 years ago my mother had the same thing happen to her but it was a blood clot in her lung. Seeing you push through this set back reminds me of her battle to get up agian and back to what she lives as well . I hope your doing well Randy and much love to you for showing that no set back is to great.

    I hunted Wyoming DIY last year. Those badger holes are no joke! I saw probably 2 dozen badgers in the week I was there. Very cool experience. I had never hunted pronghorn before, but myself and 3 friends all filled our tags. I was the last one to kill but mine went 79". I'm hooked. I'm going back in 2018.

      They are an addiction, both in the field and on the dinner plate. Good luck.

    Randy just a big thumbs up for your shows, I really like the new show, not every hunt ends in a kill. Hope you can keep your health in check to keep hunting.

    Oh in that slight Wyoming breeze. Made me laugh inside when I was in Bozeman getting my teeth worked on and they were talking about the wind blowing there.

      Bozeman Montana does not know what wind is, compared to central Wyoming.

    I hope your "Yooper" pal Mark brought you some pasties! ;) I wonder what a pronghorn pasty would taste like. Who am I kidding? IT'D BE AWESOME!!!

      He didn't bring any, but he talked about how good they would be. Typical Yooper. ;)

    love your shows Randy. Don't usually comment, but I am so stumped by that first shot you took at about 10:51. It looks as though if you had been aiming for the vitals on that back you would have been passing by another lope by only an inch or two. I was so surprised by that. Is there something I am not seeing there?

    You really should have your PPE on when you're on a well pad though!

    Randy, Looks like you are recovering well.
    Which Leupold scope did you use on this pronghorn hunt?

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  8 років тому +1

      +lances4803 - A VX3 3.5-10X40mm. They now have the VX3i, which has improved glass and lens coatings.

      +Randy Newberg, Hunter Thanks much. Your heart story really made an impact on me (we're about the same age). After hearing that, I won't take heart trouble signs for granted.

    Randy, I commonly see you looking at paper maps that seem to have land ownership information. Where do you buy those?

    Randy, where can I get maps like the ones laying on your hood (the paper ones) ?? Sorry to hear about your medical issues but very glad you are Okay. Sometimes those things happen to the last person you'd think they would happen to.

    What kind of spotting scope are using Randy? Also love your show. I just got myself to Alpine rifle 308 Love the gun, not too happy with the magazine release release point tho...

      I use the Leupold Gold Ring, in a 80mm for use near the truck, the 60mm as my best compromise in weight and magnification, and the 50mm for backpack hunts where weight is critical. I have replaced the drop box magazine with the traditional floor plate magazine on my Alpine Mountain Rifles. I think you can do the same. Thanks for watching.
