I totally agree with everyone else that doesn't mind watching the ads. I have to confess though that I skip those 5 minute long ones. You are providing the advertisers with a way to put out their products why shouldn't you get paid for it. Billboards aren't free, TV commercials aren't free...etc. Hell...the Superbowl ads cost them millions of dollars.

While it’s still in warranty let them replace the camera again, use it until it stops working, and then buy the new camera. Hopefully that would give you enough time to get past the holidays.
