Ever since Hargitay took over as the producer, they may as well change the name to; SPECIAL BENSON UNIT. Don't get me wrong, she is good in her role, but it seems more Benson centric now. It used to be spread out equally with back stories for the entire cast, Cragan's alcoholism, Stabler's anger and family issues, Tutuola's son being gay and Fin fully accepting him. Now, its all Liv and Noah all the time. Break it up a little. Share the spotlight, Mariska, it doesn't hurt.
I don’t think it has to do with her being producer. I think it’s because she’s paid so much money. If a show is spending a lot of money on one actor, they’ll make them the focus. Why pay millions to an actor with little screen time?
Ben Stone is my all time favorite ADA on Law and Order. I wish Michael Moriarity had stayed on the show longer. It’s nice seeing his son Peter as an ADA now.
This episode had a wow factor, but there were huge plot holes, over-edits, or something... 1/ why was the mother needed when the defense was about to put this away 2/ why was Tianna back at the apartment when she was escorted back to the ACA...and no one bothered to ask 3/ how did Malik know she was at the apartment
SParkApCider I thinks the mother was needed to show a pattern. When you have pimper out your own mother, doing the same to your sister isn't that big of a step. The girl had told Olivia earlier in the episode that she would run away. Which she then did to go see his trial. I guess we can assume that she run away again Last point I am not sure on either.
The thing I always enjoyed about SVU is that it showed the complicated details of a situation. It's not always cut and dry. This is yet though another example of why the family unit with a father and mother in healthy relationship is important. Why loving self is important. How easily people can get themselves into situations they never would have imagined possible nor wanted for their own children. Drugs do change a persons motivation I don't care what anyone says. The lengths they can go to for a fix, or the trouble they can get themselves into because of either owing money for what they had on tick, or for a drug deal gone bad. It is an issue that can be within any class of people. Do they really want the cycles to continue? If you ask any addict of anything.. not just drugs.. it's a whole mind, emotional and physical turbulence.. which then affects the personality and spirit within. Why has this become such an epidemic? Look at the current coronavirus and people are shaken.. yet look at the number of lives lost then compare that with the overdose or murders with drug use circles... How do they compare? Why is it that people are forced to live in fear when it comes to this particular issue? How much of prostitution, rape, murders, burglary even kidnapping can be attributed to or interconnected with drug use? This has been shown to be issues since the 80s and dirty harry movies at least.. yet if people are honest it goes much further back. Why in 2020 is this still an issue and yet because we have faster internet speeds and greater technology we are supposed to believe we have somehow furthered humanity??
kimmy cuthbert Because he’s not Barba. People loved Rafael Barba’s character, with some calling him the best ADA the show has ever had. Seeing as how he left so abruptly, I think folks are still getting over that.

They can be easily influenced by the male. They can also do everything and anything it takes to get a mans attention. Feelings are often already in a confusable state or easily hurt if dismissed.
