Good video sir, someone sent this to me today.
I would add, individuals can build 2 vehicles a year without a rebuilders license.
Ga does have strict salvage laws, but this is a good thing, being in a safe vehicle is important.
I seen someone ask in the comments if we’re picky,
we have rules and guidelines we have to follow.

Having lived in a few other states this is actually the first place that I don't have a yearly mechanical inspection (aside from emissions) but I agree having a strict salvage process make sense, especially given the absence of yearly checks for mechanical and safety equipment

I’m at the end of this process with a motorcycle in Decatur county, only thing I will add is when I went to my local tag office after I passed inspection I was told you have to send the paperwork to the Georgia DOR motor vehicle division and get the rebuilt title from them before they can give you plates. Lots of hoops to jump through here in Georgia don’t know if I would do this again.
Also I’ll add the vehicle inspection in Georgia is very strict, I saw multiple people in line before me not pass inspection, it’s a 120 dollar non refundable inspection.

Yeah the GA salvage to rebuilt title process is bullshit. Other states have it easy. Like damn they are so worried about us driving a potentially dangerous vehicle on the road that we have to go through this time consuming process. Meanwhile you have thousands of folks driving with bald tires or no brake lights. Give them a hard time not us.

We only have a handful of inspectors in GA so there’s a good chance you may have to tow the car an hour or more to get to one. Then you have to pay the $100 fee but not only that you have to pay the inspectors personal fee. I will never understand why they make it so painful to rebuild a title. Some of us just have minor cosmetic damage and we still have to go through all this.

So I am located in Clayton county GA I just bought a 2012 Suzuki GSXR600 from South Carolina and unknowing that the title is rebuilt. The title I have is branded not actual mileage and while at the tag office trying to transfer the title over they made me aware of the vehicles history saying I need an inspection. Could you provide me with the info of the guy that was mobile to you? I was going to go to McDonald collision repair in Forest Park but if I could save having to tow the bike that will be ideal for me. What all will I need in my case? I only have the title and it’s been signed over to me but to not transferred by the state due to needing an inspection. I don’t have photos of damage, I don’t have the bill of sale, I don’t have a photo of the sellers ID, I only have the title. Supposedly the bike was salvaged in Texas in 2014 and titled there and then came to South Carolina and it was obviously titled there as I have a South Carolina title. Now it’s in GA with me being the new owner and and anxious I’m out $6,000. The bike looks brand new and rides great. I had to ride it 3 hours home and have been riding it about 30 minutes to and from to McDonough for work everyday but I have stopped riding it because I don’t want to get stopped and the bike towed away and then I’d have no way to retrieve it as I have the title but the state hasn’t transferred it to my name because of needing an inspection. Is there any advice you could give me and is there anyway you could give me the contact information of the mobile inspector you used? Thanks for the video very helpful!

I'm not 100% sure, but if it has already been "rebuilt" and inspected in Tennessee then you may be good, just register as usual. Kinda stinks how insurance works. I'm basically forced to give my car up after being rear ended. Bumper broke and bumper support bar is bent. In order to get a settlement I have to take a tiny amount of money, that might now be enough for repair or take the money to get new car. The value they're giving doesn't cover the same car. My car works perfectly fine also, they just wont fix it.

Just imagine how much money a salvage inspector can make by failing the same person over and over.
Not only that but if they have a rebuilders license they can just buy up as many auction cars as they want that have salvage titles and easily pass them all for inspection because they are an inspector. Then just sell those “rebuilt” cars for profit. You can’t tell me some of them aren’t doing this.
