I got a deal on 5 of the Nascar model kits. $10 a piece. Bought that roller chassis also. But doing some scratch build chassis instead. Nice paint job. Looks awesome 👌
Hi Simon, i also like that "smooth" driving experience with cars on metal chassis. I`ve made some videos on my chanel how i build 1:32 scale cars on a metal chassis from Plafit with front suspension and a long can motor. The cars drive much more predictably and controllably at the limit. It takes some work to match the cars with the right components, but it's worth it. Greetings Carsten
We did build our own cars back in the mid 60's using Revell, Monogram or AMT plastic models. Much cheaper than purchasing out of the box slots and allowed some creativity as well. Will this car your working on be able to run on a Digital Carrera stack?
Thanks for watching. I have a digital to analog switch for my digital track. This car will stay analog but it is brass and I am sure with the ftslottechnic chip where the diode is on its own wire, a digital solution should be easy enough. SlotR has some good conversion videos for revo slot that would translate to this chassis
Yes, the body mounts are available separately. Slot Car Corner has them.
Great information thank you!

Thanks again. Came out better than I thought will be considering white kits more often.

Hey Carsten. I subbed you and will check out your builds for sure! Thanks for watching my video.
@@simonsays171 Cool, thanks for stopping by! Greetings from Germany!
That is really cool!! 😎 Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching. I really like it. Really opens up all sorts of directions for the hobby.
Cool Idea, pity there is nothing in my area that allows for this type of car.
Yeah I am lucky with my local club. We race slot.it group C. Slot.it dtm and carrera gt classes and a little Nascar. You could start a trend!
Looks like a fun project Sim!
Thanks Marty it has been a fun one. Gonna be tackling that marcos this weekend I think.

I’m still looking for a 1:24 scale Mopar body. The cheapest I’ve found is $40 for a Charger Daytona.
Hopefully with the hobby gaining in interest we start seeing more models coming to market at better prices.. one can hope.
