Welcome to the family. I heard an interview with him a few years back and he was saying that the inspiration for this song came when he and his son who was really little at the time we’re in the car driving to go play with some tractors and they got caught in a crazy downpour. His little boy started chanting “loud and heavy” from the backseat, and the song was born. Fun fact: he gave his son songwriting credits. For your next go around, I highly suggest Must Be the Whiskey.

David is another great song with a great story to it. 7th floor is great sounding song. That Adobe Session album is straight fire every song.
He also set up an account and his son gets a percentage from all profits from this song.

Sounds like my experience. First time I saw Cody Jinks was in a crap hole bar, Cody was touring out of the van still. 5 bucks to get in the bar. Cody and Josh were sitting at the bar.
Now here we are…it’s been a wild ride to watch.
First saw Cody,maybe300 people for Whitey Morgan and Cody jinks.The last time I saw Cody 10000 people at Red Rocks.The man is the real deal.
And now he’s playing in front of 50k in NFL stadiums with Luke Combs.
Cody is a true artist.
He's relatively new school but he's been playing metal and country for a while. And he's the type of outlaw who won't conform to the homogeneity of industry suits

On another note, there’s a lot of great genuine back to roots country coming out of our southern states, getting away from the pop country which has its own appeal. But those of us raised on country legends sure are glad to have it coming back. 😊

A close friend of mine committed suicide last month. We used to share music and I was never a big fan of country outside of a few songs. This was the last song he showed me. I loved it when he showed me, but now it's always going to have a deeper meaning to me.

You want to introduce him to Randy Travis with that song... Do you want him to hate Randy Travis? Because if that was the first song of his I heard I would hate him/ 1982, I Told You So, On the Other Hand, Forever Amen, He walked on Water... those songs exist. 3 Wooden crosses should not exist. Just a garbage gimmick poorly written trash song but that seems to be the trend that people recommend to these reactors. You should check out Ray Lamontagne - narrow escape, old crow medicine show - wagon wheel, Alison Krauss - Ghost in this house, let me touch you for a while, when you say nothing at all .. I don't think they all fall under country though... some are more folk.
