Cody is a true artist. He's relatively new school but he's been playing metal and country for a while. And he's the type of outlaw who won't conform to the homogeneity of industry suits
You should also check out a guy named Colter Wall. His voice is epic! He has similar music to Cody. Colter also does a song with Tyler Childers called Fraulein. Check it out!
Heard this man singing in a empty bar 10 years ago and was captivated, two years ago went to his sold out show in front of hundreds of people singing every word! Personally his favorite song of mine is Head case
Sounds like my experience. First time I saw Cody Jinks was in a crap hole bar, Cody was touring out of the van still. 5 bucks to get in the bar. Cody and Josh were sitting at the bar. Now here we are…it’s been a wild ride to watch.
Welcome to the family. I heard an interview with him a few years back and he was saying that the inspiration for this song came when he and his son who was really little at the time we’re in the car driving to go play with some tractors and they got caught in a crazy downpour. His little boy started chanting “loud and heavy” from the backseat, and the song was born. Fun fact: he gave his son songwriting credits. For your next go around, I highly suggest Must Be the Whiskey.
Birds, Fast Hand, No Words, Hippies and Cowboys, Somewhere in the Middle, Love letters and Cigarettes, David……so many good songs from Jinks. Been listening to him going on 9 years.
I wonder if you'd be interested in listening to another song with three country music legends singing together "Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris - The Sweetest Gift" this is one of the best trio's you'll ever hear...this is simply angelic
A close friend of mine committed suicide last month. We used to share music and I was never a big fan of country outside of a few songs. This was the last song he showed me. I loved it when he showed me, but now it's always going to have a deeper meaning to me.
He’s already done it, but more of us are slowly getting him into the harder stuff! Recently reacted to Tool now we just need more! AB for real, you need Pantera “Cemetary Gates” and Dio “Holy Diver” On another note, there’s a lot of great genuine back to roots country coming out of our southern states, getting away from the pop country which has its own appeal. But those of us raised on country legends sure are glad to have it coming back. 😊
@ABtheKreator PLEASE MAN you must dive into BlackBerry Smoke - One Horse Town, Ain't Much Left of Me, Shakin' Hands With the Holy Ghost. They are said to be too country for rock, and too rock for country, that's why they don't get much airplay. But their fans are far, wide, and strong
You want to introduce him to Randy Travis with that song... Do you want him to hate Randy Travis? Because if that was the first song of his I heard I would hate him/ 1982, I Told You So, On the Other Hand, Forever Amen, He walked on Water... those songs exist. 3 Wooden crosses should not exist. Just a garbage gimmick poorly written trash song but that seems to be the trend that people recommend to these reactors. Dumbass Tim Mcgraw or Blake Shelton songs, bubble gum Alan Jackson trash cuts, and literally anything from Toby Keith.. the cringiest stupidest token stereotype dumbsh*t joke songs that make the whole genre look like inbred idiots. Sorry about the rant...
@@GrapeApe2018 I was working nights. Was tired and had sand in my panties.... don't get me wrong that song is terrible... but perhaps.... maybe... it didn't need a full length hit piece. I'll take responsibility for now but I am certain I can find something to blame it on later.... maybe ambian?
Yes!! Was hoping you would discover Codys music. Welcome to the rabbit hole. You will not be disappointed. He doesn't have a bad song. Saw him in concert. You definitely need to do a live.
I love this song! For me it's a metaphor for life.. Shit is gonna happen.. Don't be afraid... Don't worry.. Just move forward... Something I wish I knew a decade ago
Hell ya brotha. If you like the guitar solos you need to check out SoulShine by the Allman Brothers Live the way Derrick Truck plays the slide and Warren Haynes runs that fret board it’s mesmerizing. Thanks for always keeping me entertained brotha keep doin what you are doin. From a northern Missouri boy
Here is a fun little experiment you can do... Listen to Soulshine, Yellow Ledbetter - Pearl Jam, and Why We Cry - Kenny Wayne Sheppard all at the same time
Hey Ab, would you like to listen to some really good country-blues music. Well in case you do I'd like to introduce you to the "Markus King Band - Goodbye Carolina" he's really coming along in the industry, and he's got quite a collection started.
He is finally getting the notice after some time. He is anti Nashville and has done most of his stuff independently. There is several good suggestions here already. I would like another up and coming band The Steelwoods. Blind lover, better in the fall, let the rain come down are a few enjoyable songs.
I’ve been trying to get reaction channels hip to him and whiskey Meyer but not about to pay for it. I listen to most genres. In my opinion this isn’t my favorite there is better story telling from him and many others. Open ur mind if u like music and hear lyrics it’s easy nowadays
So proud of this Ft. Worth Texas Boy!! Cody Jinks don’t have a bad song IMO, but some popular ones for your rabbit hole journey is I’m Not The Devil, No Words, We Get By, Ready For The Times To Get Better, Never Alone Always Lonely, Which One I Feed and Hippies & Cowboys. Cody is considered a newer artist to success but he has been paying his dues a long time! ❤️🔥
OOOO New video!! I'm here for it. I've been binge-watching. I would love to hear you react to some powerful gospel or Christian music like Katy Nichole - "In Jesus Name (God of Possible)" or "Graves Into Gardens ft. Brandon Lake"

Been binging your videos since i found your channel a few days ago. I have a couple songs/ artists to add to your ever growing list to get to. You should check out Ray Lamontagne - narrow escape, old crow medicine show - wagon wheel, Alison Krauss - Ghost in this house, let me touch you for a while, when you say nothing at all .. I don't think they all fall under country though... some are more folk.
Cody Jinks - Must be the whiskey!!
These reaction videos prove the divide is not what the media would have you believe. Cheers.
Which one I feed is my favorite Cody Jinks song.........by FAR!
He's new old school!!!!!!!!

Must be the Whisky is so good!
I love that story... thanks for sharing it!
David is another great song with a great story to it. 7th floor is great sounding song. That Adobe Session album is straight fire every song.
He also set up an account and his son gets a percentage from all profits from this song.
Birds, Fast Hand, No Words, Hippies and Cowboys, Somewhere in the Middle, Love letters and Cigarettes, David……so many good songs from Jinks. Been listening to him going on 9 years.
When you can appreciate great music in any genre,.. I then know instantly that you are my favorite type of human!!!!!💯😎💯

Headcase is criminally underrated

A close friend of mine committed suicide last month. We used to share music and I was never a big fan of country outside of a few songs. This was the last song he showed me. I loved it when he showed me, but now it's always going to have a deeper meaning to me.

Need another country LEGEND.... Randy Travis ~ Three Wooden Crosses
You want to introduce him to Randy Travis with that song... Do you want him to hate Randy Travis? Something I wish I knew a decade ago
Oh! Me too.. good advice..
AB you should do "Cast No Stones" next Cody Jinks song. It's a slower song but very good
Please react to:
Meatloaf - For Crying Out Loud (Greatest Love Song Ever)
Mary Chapin Carpenter - I Feel Lucky (Just fun)
Reading those two song choices back to back let me know what it must be like when my dog throws up and then eats that throw up and throws it up again.
PLEASE DO MORGAN WALLEN WASTED ON YOU PLZ
