@@E-bikeguy , ok, there’s no 3.5 t in that model so its either 3.3t or 3.6t. Your stator should have 343 (3.3t) or 434 (3.6t) marked on it. This report a group of 3 coils. If wound 3 turns, 4 turns, 3 turns, the average is 3.3. As you can see there is no way to 3.5t average in 3 coils. The 3.3t 40H at 72v will run 870 rpm. (12.25kv). So unloaded with 84v thats about 1030 rpm. Loaded with battery sag to 76v thats 930 rpm. 930 rpm on a 26” tire is about 72 mph. A bit faster if the battery sag is less, a bit slower if battery is at a lower SOC plus sag. This rated rpm is because 40H magnets passing coils with 3.3t winding becomes a generator making about 72v at 870 rpm. So your controller connects the battery to the motor but since there’s only a 2v difference, phase current is limited. So you turn on field weakening it will make the magnet effectively smaller, and now the “generator” only makes 70v so more current can flow from the battery to the motor when a mosfet opens. If you want to go faster you need to turn on field weakening (WeakResponse 0) and set maxspeed to 1400 rpm and set DC amps to 300a (not 600a) and it will definitely go faster. Keep in mind your motor is staying cool because the speed is limited to 70ish mph. Once you go faster it’s going to get hot faster too so you need to set maxspeed, ratios in speeds, phase amps and DC amps such that it doesn’t burn in 10 seconds. You can use higher amps with lower rpm limits if you want mostly acceleration with 90% top speed, or lower amps with higher rpm settings for lower acceleration but max possible speed.

And what do you need to avoid to prevent burning up the motor? If I say “just turn on field weakening” then that 721200 will say “finally little motor, you’re mine!” Lol
