Nice video and thanks. Not sure if you already figured this out, but looks like you had the legs on backwards. Twist them a half turn so they're pointing out (wider base).
I have had my wok burner for awhile now, the leg stabilizers make a big difference and you can put the tank underneath on the stabilizers. The thing won’t fall over that way! I love my wok burner and use it almost weekly!
You've got the legs on wrong. That is why it is so unstable. Each leg has a sight bend 6" down from the fitting that attaches to the burner. Loosen the fitting where the leg attaches to the burner and rotate each leg so that the bend faces out, then re-tighten the fitting. The bends in the legs should be facing out so that the legs are wider at the bottom than they are where they connect to the burner. The distance between each leg at the floor should be about 18". Oh, I see that you figured that out near the end of the video.
really informative. Love everything you said about this unit. I live in Canada just not sure about stirfrying in winter. I was considering the portable indoor and outdoor Iwatani butane burner so I can cook throughout the cold winters
Does the bowl for this burner have a flat ring around the top edge of it that would allow it to be suspended in a cart by simply dropping it into a hole of the right size? It's really hard to tell from the video but it almost looks like the sides just continuously sweep up and out till they meet the outer edge of the "mouth". With no real flat spot around the bottom edge of the lip to sit flat against the cart top once dropped into the hole. It's hard to articulate but hopefully you can understand what I mean. I'm interested in this burner but I definitely want to do a suspended install in a cart Like you see the street vendors use in places like Thailand. Any additional info you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
yeah i'm not sure if this is the same set-up as what you're looking for. It may be configurated but, i'm not sure if it's the same flat ring that you're talking about. thanks for swinging through!
Awh wow amazing video am excited bro looking forward to get one soon can’t wait to wok hei my food with that dragon flame taste gave you a thumbs up and just subscribed to your channel looking forward to watch more of your videos blessings
Hey bro, just received mine a week ago. Those legs are suppose to be installed "screws facing inside, inward bend of the legs facing outside". Still not super stable, but I haven't died yet lol. Hope this helps.
@@mikeobedoza dong actually sent me a pdf file via email with the instructions set up. Surprised he didn't do the same with you. But glad u figured it out. Good luck chef.
@@renesirois9074 the coleman is a butane only one but I think you can buy an adapter for any of them. not sure. it works great in the summer months tho!
So that little flame before the big flame - can you keep it ON like a pilot light if you ever wanna shut the main burner off entirely? How low can you make the flame on the main burner if not?
you can keep it on and use it as a pilot. it comes in handy if you forget something in the house. can shut off the big burner, run inside and grap something, run back out and crank it back up without losing heat in the food, but not burning stuff either
So one my kids knocked it over and broke the connection where it turns on. So unfortunately I don’t have it anymore. But that burner was my favorite. I’d highly recommend it. I tried to buy a cheaper one from Amazon and it is nothing compared to the power this burner is. And I think about this burner all of the time. If you have the chance I’d get this one.
so i've owned this since the release of this video in december. and it's about to be march so only a few months and i use this thing at least once a month. It works just as good as when i received it. The only thing is that i have seen is that the hose may need to be tightened every so once in a while but, that's such a minor problem from the overall thing of this.
@@skang3368 i can't say i've used the eastman... just by a visual look i feel like there is heat escaping by not having the enclosed side walls there. but, I can't say for sure? good luck!
I believe the lip on the wok ring is to protect the POW wok handle from getting hot. It blocks the flames protects your hand and wok handle.
Haha I bought a bigger wok and it all makes so much more sense 🤓

yeeeup got that

How are you liking it two years later ? I’m thinking about buying one. Thanks
Awesome explanations and I enjoyed the real world experience walk through. It mirrored mine! 😂
ha awesome thanks tom!
Just bought one of those burners. It is a Power Flame 160. Looking forward to cooking on it. Thanks for the video.
Great video and I am in need of a wok burner......thanks! Good Info!.....Keep cooking!!
Thanks William! - Yes this is the one to get!
Just got mine Fri, used it Saturday wow what a difference from using the stove top. The legs were just fine and the food was awesome 👌
ha agreed! i try to find every reason to cook on this dang thing.
Really helpful review. Discussion of legs is useful/scary. Food looks good!
Thank you, i was looking into this burner.

Yeah the more power through the cold I’m sure will make things so much easier
Also just ordered tbe leg stabilizers but haven't test it out yet.
Are they worth it?
Great video man can you use a flat pot on this unit
idk how big is a flat pot?
Great video! This was a real-life video from the perspective of someone like me😊
yay glad you found some value from it!

i have a link in the description.
So glad you got rid of that table top (on a towel) burner. My old coleman camp stove was hotter than that. This one is much better.

how do you clean afterwards?
the wok? just wipe it when it cools.
Thx for thorough review. Did u get the version with the electronic igniter?
Yes I got the electronic igniter.
michael, are legs required? or can you just put it on a table and cook safely?
I believe you may be able to put it on a table. For the amount of heat it provides I’m just not sure what table would be able to withstand all that?

freaking cool. I bought a butane burner and was a waste I already want the upgrade. lol.
hi Nelson was the butane burner a whole separate unit or do we have the option butane or propane for this particular model?

awesome video, whats the music in it?
Just ordered the 160. Don’t know the diff with the quick connect but…. Lol
haha good luck!
I believe you put the legs on wrong/backwards.
ha yeah and i've corrected it thanks to everyone hooking me up with the info!
Thanks
Can you use pots and pans on this burner?
This wasn't designed for that. there's a lip on the ring that is specifically designed for a wok.
The legs are obviously supposed to flare out, not to straight down.
