It just breaks my heart that Gary has passed away now. This composition of this song just stirres such emotions in a person and I'm not even sure why but it's a combination, maybe, of its longevity, it's musical composition (especially in this live version), Gary's singing ability after all these years is even better, his apparent deep love for this song in his sincerity at singing it, just all those things together just make it stir so many emotions. And, of course, the fact that he passed away just a few years after this. Such a loss. RIP Gary Brooker.
The finest band ever I'm my opinion and one I've seen live 8 times. Its always good to see younger people find and enjoy this classic song.So sad that Gary passed away just 27 days ago,a true legend in my eyes who I will miss enormously
Hi from Australia, this is the original and preformed in Denmark, I'm 62yrs old and it's great to see the younger generation appreciate great music. Well done guys 🇦🇺🇺🇸
❤ RIP Gary Brooker 1945 - 2022 Step 1 - Orchestra prelude Step 2 - Gary Brooker and orchestra Step 3 - Gary Brooker + orchestra + band (Procol Harum) + choir AMAZING! (PROCOL HARUM is a latin expression that means "beyond these things")
The name of the instrument, is specially built organ, called hammond organ, with a special sound, and the instrument became very popular in the 60s, and was used by many famous bands and musicians at the time, and can be heard in many unforgettable classics, which is played to this day on the radio ..!
I sooo enjoyed this with you guys! I have skipped over your reaction thinking your youth would get in the way of appreciating this classic...tho quite different from the original release, dare I say better-- much better. We lost Gary earlier this year, but he left us with one of the finest live performances ever. Thank you guys ...nice job, subscribed. RIP Gary Brooker
I kind of feel sorry for these guys. They may never know of the great music that proceeded them... that is unless they have the urge to search and discover.
Yes it is extremely sad, I feel the same way. At 65 I just passed this on to my daughters!!!!! Long story but as a mother you feel it's your duty and honor to pass this masterpiece along❤❤❤.. life is not getting any easier and listening to this can only make things better. Thank you Gary Brooker, RIP❤
If you'd like some classic music suggestions: Pink Floyd's 'Echoes' and 'Time'. Martin Denny- 'Quiet Village' and 'Exotica'. Moody Blues- 'Nights in White Satin' and 'Legend of a Mind'. Supertramp- 'Goodbye Stranger' and 'Even in the Quietest Moments'. Rush- 'Freewill' and 'Xanadu'. Frank Zappa- 'I'm the Slime', 'Pink Napkins' and 'Inca Roads'. Steely Dan- 'Deacon Blues'. Led Zeppelin- live versions from the TSRTS concert, ('Dazed and Confused', and 'Stairway to Heaven'), ELO- 'Livin' Thing', and 'Tightrope'. Yes- 'Wonderous Stories', 'Awaken', and 'I've Seen all Good People'. I can't stop! Also, groups like ELP, the Beatles, Renaissance, the Who, (Tommy), and Jethro Tull- 'Sossity,' 'Songs from the Wood'. Also, a novelty parody band 'Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band'.
I did not know this song was John Lennon's favourite. The composition is based on Bach's _"Air On a G String"_ and Lennon's _"Because"_ was inspired by Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata".
Trust me…. You do not want your life to end without hearing this song. “TIME HAS COME TODAY“- The Chambers Brothers - Album Long version, then Live. PLEASE and Thank You. After you will be thanking me. You’re Welcome.
Oh Lordy, another American mentioning Happy Gilmore film ffs. Cultural knowledge seems entirely derived from TV or films. PH recording came out 67, but original inspiration is Bach's Air On The G String over a couple of hundred years ago.
Maybe you like the original song better. It's one of around 50 songs, to ever sell over ten million singles, and it was John Lennons favorite song of all time.
if they want to react to some really good rock someone should turn them on the some of the tunes on Pink Floyds pulse tour..... they are awesome.......
amazing

A salty dog and Conquistador same concert Gary was 60 and died 2/19/22
The song that plays throughout Happy Gilmore is “Tuesday’s Gone” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Trust me…. You do not want your life to end without hearing this song.
“TIME HAS COME TODAY“- The Chambers Brothers - Album Long version, then Live. PLEASE and Thank You. After you will be thanking me. You’re Welcome.
I need that sweatshirt Zach. Also Spencer was wrong but it's okay because I ended up watching Happy Gilmore in its entirety
😂
Great reaction to a timeless masterpiece. RIP Gary Brooker 🇬🇧
Gary died in February. RIP

Hi guys, you might want to try InXs Never tear us apart. Thx.
Now you need to get into Stevie Ray Vaughan ~ and you're welcome
He is 61 or 62 years old.
You actually thought about "anti-dinging" one of the greatest performances of all time on one of the greatest songs of all time?
Hey guys This was John Lennons favorite song
