I’m looking at getting one of these and your video has made my mind up. I’m getting one. The price vs how many times I would use it, no brainer. Thanks for the video
I have a 12T version also from eBay and found the same build quality issues as you did (although it performs perfectly adequately). I hang a net across the middle from the supporting pegs to catch the item being pressed out if it's a bush or bearing. After a few modifications to mine it'll be getting repainted with grippier paint as that gloss finish on the black sections is a nightmare.
I have to disagree about build quality, there is none. Shocking. I re-drilled the two bars you press on and made 2 tubular spacers to fit between the bars so that you can tighten the nuts and bolts permanently. Same for the 4 top corner joints and added some thick washers in those gaps, again so that the fasteners can be tightened. In between to lower brace and the outer frame I made and added spacers so that the bars you press on can be lowered all the way to the bottom of the 6 sets of holes. Added a set of (4) 50mm 50kg. castors from Tool Station so I cam move it around easily.

Good to hear yours performs well too. The net is a great idea, I don’t like to be anywhere near it when I’m pressing out wheel bearings/ball joints!
soo the wider pipe on the bottle jack handle has slots on one end use that to tighten the jack release screw
I figured that out pretty soon after making this video.. haha!
You just taught me so much
Good to hear!
How much was this 20T press?
Edit* Just watched the Video was £140

What's the gauge of the steel. How thick is it in mm please ?
The main pressing parts are 5-6mm, with the rest being 4mm!
Nice I could do with one
Pretty happy with it for what it costs, saves me having to wait around to get stuffed pressed out now.
How is the bottle jack fixed? Would it be easy to replace with a pneumatic jack?
It’s simply held in by the tension of the springs, pulling it up into the arbor. Would be very easy to exchange it!
@@BadE30 Perfect, I was just researching before I ordered one, I thought this would be a good/cheap modification ebay.us/K8nPGC
Will it fit wheel bearing in the hub
Tricky to say without knowing what hub etc, but I’ve had no issues removing and installing front and rear wheel bearings from my bmw e30
@@BadE30 well it's audi a3 8l so it should be ok, thanks
