- Are Pillar Bases Worth It In Roblox Ikea SCP 3008? - Building is important in 3008 and bases in the infinite Ikea can save your life! So today I checked to see whether building a pillar base was worth the time!

I miss 2.2 when people would build bases on Pillars. I miss update 2.2.. Those where the days
@Two Brother 2.2 was simple. The restaurant was nice, there were pillar numbers, and it was easier to survive

I made a pillar base once in 2.3, it was very nice so I called it "Airhaven"
Base got griefed after 5 hours
Btw the pillars with the grey floor around them, on the top at 800 studs there’s a house with chocolate that gives u an achievement and when u try falling down u get another achievement:)

Pallets do look nice but when you make upside-down beds THAT is awesome

Tip for everyone : always add another item behind the pallets of ur base, employees can see through pallets
me and my friends always build on pillars and its really easy to player-proof
this guy is actually pissed at griefers i love it
Whenever i make bases pretty high the employees jump on their head one by one and start stacking up-
People who dont know: Scps can climb ladders to so if some employee is chasing u dont get on a ladder push him and then do it bc if u push him he will lose the track of you running towards the ladder! Your welcome and if u miss the click and u didnt push the scp pick up the ladder as fast as you can before it gets up and if its already on top try pushing it down to the ground! When u have a ladder block it when it turns night so u dont have to deal with this
I suggest using ladders instead of coffee tables.
Pillar bases are extremely good because if you build them high enough, you can dodge attacks from those King's or bosses.

tbh, the day SCP 3008 gets weapons is the day I'll be more interested... I'm kinda too old to find any joy in building a base just cus I can... [The shine has faded for me]
Quick tip:
if trying to make a keyboard and mouse,
use a wall decoration (the ones that have a black rim which is bland and white)
And use half a lemon for the mouse.

One time I was in a server where the ENTIRE SERVER teamed up to make a massive base on a pillar. It had 8 floors.

When I play scp-3008 I am that kind of player who never carry’s a light around with them and only have one lamp in their base and turns it off at night

me and my sister made this epic base in a corner pillar and there was a giant spiral staircase up the base and it had a watch tower, house, a basement and a storage area. me and my sister were kinda sad because there is not a save update yet so we couldn't save it. it was really cool and we also built it on the april fools update so king existed and we worked very hard to make the base "king free" IT WAS SO COOL AND I MISS ITTT

The best strategy when building a pillar base is to build a small base or panic shelter nearby.
I remember, how i builded one pillar base with a one russian girl (im russian), it was really safe, and it was near to wall

In my opinion the best place to build is either in the shelves or in a corner, because if you build your base in a corner, you won't need that many materials for walls, and it's pretty easy to secure

I built a gigantic base with pallets, then one friend got disconnected, and then I had 1 friend left I called her pin, and then it was a blood moon, yade yada yada then I had to leave my best base! ;c Hey at least there wasn’t any employee on any of the nights!

Hey ray I’m not sure if you’re gonna to respond but can you build a base out of glass tables and beds? Try a survival challenge with 100 Huberts’ and 10 employees! You can only build a base for 30 minutes and the night will be 7 minutes long.
It’s actually called Blood Night, but it doesn’t really matter.
@@davidpablogomez7546 that would be amazingly helpful, but if you made a pillar base then saved it it could spawn- well- for example it could spawn in the middle of something or just directly alone. But it is a great idea!
Personally, I like pillar bases since most scored will not get in. As for ground bases, scps can still manage to get inside your base and kill you to death. So I think pillar bases are more efficient. As for players getting in, that’s the problem you have to handle.
I built a bunker which is hard to get into from any, and I mean A N Y mob including king.

@@birb2197 by just leading king to a anchored thing he'll be stuck there forever as long as you stay there unless he just jumps over it after a long time but skybases are pretty good as king can break the ladders and it'll be fine and floating

Fun fact! Ladders are very op against griefers! (When they are climbing the ladder grab it they will fall again and get fall damage :> )

Short answer: YES. Yes it is worth it. It may take eons to complete it alone, but if you gather a couple people and build, you can make a safe haven for everyone, and if you build in a corner you are gonna be easy to go to, but if not, random people will go up to you and may make it a bit safer from attackers in other bases.

No, with permission it doesn’t count as greifing. Greifing is the act of purposefully destroying an inhabited base. I consider bases that are uninhabited to be fair game. I usually keep watch of the base/maybe stay in it for a few nights (if it’s safe) to see if it’s inhabited. Usually works, if not then give the supplies back in compensation

When I build shelf bases I add TV's at the top so it's easier for people to take safety in my base and never once had a griefer.
I'm in Asian servers and I see less griefers. (only encountered 2 griefing a single base during my 27 in-game days) Especially in Thailand (i think)

Here is my opinion: I think they could be good for building around them but raiders are most likely to raid them and employees can climb most of them. Also if you accidentally fall you will immediately die from fall damage(unless it’s short) but overall there ok
Note for people without vip servers: Your friends may have one so you could always just join their vip server instead so there will be no griefers
I made a sky base based of pillar, and extended it as high and trying to connect with the pallet zone which was 600 studs away with my friend xD, it was worth the fun.. ;) the height was high enough to one shot anyone owo

i made a shelf base once with a bunch of other people and it was really big, but then an employee got in and was wedged between one of the shelves and a pallet and would be able to get out at night so we had to abandon it-
