I have r15 v1 2011 model, my top speed was 144kmph and mileage 30-35 in city and 40+ in highways, I still have the same bike and the performance is dropped like it never goes above 130, any tips to get back the performance? my bike has done 35000kms.
Firstly, new air filter, fresh engine oil, and lube/oil the moving parts like the chain, the wheels etc, make sure the bearing are running smoothly, if not replace them. Make sure the chain is not too tight and the slack is same throughout its length(some section of the chain are tight and the others are loose causing a alot of chain noise and wearing of the sprockets). It should be replaced if you are facing these issues as it is not safe riding witha chain of varying tightness. If this works, all good. Otherwise, step 2 is below. Next, clean the throttle body, clean the fuel pump assembly(disassemble and clean fuel filter, the bowl in which the whole assembly sits, this is where you will find tiny particles) be careful when you disassemble the fuel pump assembly as there are small o-rings that might fall off. Coming to O-ring make sure they are in working condition and not disintegrated over time, you will have to replace them if they have gone bad(which i hope is not the case). If the fuel is dripping out of the nozzle of the bowl after disconnecting the fuel pipe, there is a chance that the O-ring is gone. the fuel injector is next, i suggest you to use an injector cleaner that you can add to the fuel in the tank and that clears up the injector orifices. You should notice a crispy response of the throttle! If these dont help, Then, Decarbonise the engine(valves, combustion chamber, piston). The build up of carbon can cause the motor to lose it's efficiency. This should help, Happy riding!
