- CHiPs actors Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox gave a panel at Fanboy Expo Knoxville 2022 to talk about their time on the show, their careers, and to answer fan questions.
Erik Estrada was Officer Frank Poncherello aka Ponch on ChiPs, but is also known for Sealab 2021, The Bold and the Beautiful, Hunter, Loaded Weapon 1, National Lampoon’s Van Wilder, and Two Women, One Road. He reprised his role in CHiPs ’99.
Larry Wilcox was Officer Jon Baker on ChiPs, but is also known for The Dirty Dozen: Next Mission, Murder She Wrote, The Magical World of Disney, Perry Mason: The Case of the Avenging Ace, Loaded Weapon 1, and Mood Swings. He reprised his role as Captain Jon Baker in CHiPs ’99.

Nice to see the two of them gotten over their differences and come together like this.
45 years later and still look mostly the same, aside from some natural aging.
It's amazing how fast time goes. This was my childhood watching these guys.
This was so great ; so happy to see both these gentlemen are healthy and doing great!

They have the same great personalities in real life that they did on the show. So awesome to see them cutting up and happy. Looks like they’ve taken great care of themselves.

I met these two at a Hollywood party in January of 79, they got mad at me for insulting Linda Carter, I didn't know who she was and hadn't seen her show Wonder Women. I had spent the last two years over seas in Okinawa and the south Pacific, Eric wanted to punch me but lucky for me Larry kept him cool. What no one knew we Marines were being setup and the celebrity's too, it's a long story so I'm not telling it here.
So you insulted Linda Carter and blaming it on a setup???😂😂 I'm not buying it. You still insulted someone....so he had every right to be pissed at you...

I got a chips board game I had two toy motor cycles I dream of being a motor cycle cop just like these guys growing up I would ride down my drive way singing the intro song riding my huffy bike feeling like these guys pulling out in to a big interstate even today I love watching the show always loved that police class rooms them talking to the police captain such a super good show as a kid I loved it I’ll never forget the one episode with the run away truck I loved all the old cars in each episode was the way life used to be all the 1970s cars on the road the blurry pictures was so beautiful I love these guys like there family
