- Where to Eat in Singapore 🇸🇬 Best Meal in Singapore 🇸🇬 Best Singapore Hawker Food 🇸🇬 Michelin Restaurant in Singapore
If you want to try Michelin rated food, just go to a hawker centre in Singapore. In this case, we went to Amoy Street Food Centre to try a Michelin Bib Gourmand ramen. A Noodle Store at stall 01-39 offers a Singapore Style Ramen, recently in 2023 receiving the Michelin rating.
And of course, just 3 stalls down from A Noodle Story, you’ll find Hong Kee Beef Noodle with over 5 Michelin guide mentions as well. We also got to try some Vadai, at the Original Vadai hawker stall and Curry Puffs at J2 Famous Crispy Curry Puff.
We ended our visit to Amoy Street Food Centre on a high note. We stumbled across an amazing nasi lemak at Spicy Wife Nasi Lemak. The chicken was very well seasoned and juicy. The rice had a rich coconut milk and pandan flavor. Probably the best I ever had.
If you find yourself in the Chinatown area, walk down to Amoy Street Food Centre and have yourself a feast. I don’t think you’ll leave there hungry.
Thank you for watching and be sure to hit that like button. Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of the episode. So please feel free to leave a comment below. Have yourself a wonderful day and I’ll see you back in the next episode.

Thank you for your support, review and recommendation 🙏.
We are so happy to have discovered your hawker stall. Your nasi lemak is some of the best I've had, especially that chicken. I can't stop thinking about it...lol.
Chicken Rice rice and Nasi Lemak rice are arguably two of the tastiest “not meant to be but can be eaten on its own” rices in the world. Everything looks super tasty.
Love nasi lemak. Just thinking about it while I'm typing this...lol. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great content Grif, looks so good.
Thanks Jason! Hope all is well!
おはようございます😃
朝からシンガポールの美味しい食べ物特に麺を見ていると、今日のランチはラーメンにしようか天ぷらそばにしようか…って迷います😊
どの麺も朝食にぴったりです。😋
Great episode! Enjoyed it a lot here in SoCal awaiting my next trip!
Glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned, as I'll be making my way back to Singapore.
I like curry puff, yummy...
Have you try bakut teh in Singapore ?
No, never been to Bakut Teh. I'll have to put this on my list to visit on my next trip. Thank you for the recommendation.
Thr spicy wife nasi lemak looks good! Thanks for sharing! This hawker center is located in our central business district hence it tends to get vert crowded during lunch hour. Good tip to come b4 11.30am 👍
Yes, definitely need to go early, as it gets crazy busy. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Go escapade vegertain cafe at Singapore near outram mrt station
Thank you for the recommendation!
That is a ; a lot of delicious food !!
Perfect day of eating!
Amoy is very popular amongst the locals. 2 levels of good food there😋Also the nearest MRT is Telok Ayer. It's actually local/Chinese egg noodles like wanton noodles. Not "ramen" which is Japanese. The owners created a fusion of local fishball noodles and Japanese noodle. I love J2 curry puffs.
Thank you so much for your comment!
This place slaps
Phakinee is my favorite
Yes, we love Amoy Street Food Centre!
Thank you @simplyme3306 for your curry puff recommendation! If anyone else has recommendations of where we should go or what we should try, please leave them in the comments below. Thank you for watching!
Go tanjong pagar hawker centre eat yong Tau foo
We like to eat vadai with green chilli. You can try it next time. The store will usually offer you some. :)
They did offer, but I was a bit intimidated...lol. I'll try the chili next time. Thank you for watching and your suggestion.
@@grifsfoodandtravel Ahhh.... yes, it can be a intimidating. 😅 Just a little background to The Original Vadai which you ate in the video. Did you notice that the texture of the prawn vadai is different from the one in Komala Villas? Komala Villas' version is most likely a more traditional version because you mentioned that it was quite dense. The Original Vadai's version is lighter & fluffier which is said to be a version unique to Singapore and came about because it changed over time to suit local taste buds. I personally like The Original Vadai's vadai the best of all the vadai I have tried so far. Also a little more trivial, eating it with green chilli is a local thing. Vadai is not normally eaten with green chilli in South India where it originated from. They eat it with a yoghurt dip which is also what you got in Komala Villas. 🙂
@@carolinechai3176 Wow, thank you so much for the background information. Yes, it was definitely different in texture and I personally liked Original Vadai better. Truly appreciate you taking the time to help inform me on the differences of the two vadais.
@@grifsfoodandtravel No problem.🙂🙂 I'm glad to see that you seem to have had a good time in SG. Please come back and visit us again. 🙂🙂
@@carolinechai3176 Thank you! Most definitely will be back.

That is not tempura, get your terms right if you want to talk about food. 🤦♂️
You are correct, it was not tempura shrimp. Sorry for slip of the tough. Thanks for watching!
