- Having seen many tutorials on sidechaining i decided to make one that showed how easy this actually is. Some of the tutorials on youtube makes it seem very difficult (Some tutorials are great as well though)

You finally got it through my thick skull. I went into my jam room and finally got a side chain on my kick drum, so the bass ducks down slightly. I could crush it out of the way, but that was too much. I was able to adjust it to taste. Victory. Finally. Yes I watched numerous videos, but this video did it.

Very good tutorial, but usually, I just use the Side chain effect in Grossbeat
Thanks, i usually use kickstart myself, unless i have a lot of variation to the kick pattern and I'll go the manual way:) I'll have to check out gross beat a bit, wasn't aware of the side chain option there :)
Thanks Man, but what’s difference between side chain to this track and route to this track ?
Route routes it at full volume, sidechain still routes it but just at 0 volume. You can do either, then adjust the volume manually to be what the other one would be and then have the same result. As far as I can see :)
