At times I feel so alone especially as a single mom. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Both of my sons are autistic Jesus please give me strength to keep going. I TRUST YOU LORD! The tree is not the issue but the symbolism between Santa and the tree. Santa is the idol but the tree is the catalyst to bring our children into a pagan holiday. It is nice to celebrate the birth of our lord and saviour. You just simply can't just make up a date. If we Christian's celebrate Christmas at the same time as the pagans do we are no different to them, we are partakers. We are to separate ourselves from there evil practices.

For anyone who says “it’s what’s in your heart that matters”… look at Cain. He was for God but chose to worship Him in a way that brought joy to his own heart, not God’s heart. God didn’t accept his offering because it wasn’t what God wanted.
Look at the Israelites when they created a calf to represent God (Yahweh) and God detested it.
We need to worship Him in the way that He wants, not what makes us feel “good”.

To me the pagan stuff aside, what's more bothersome to me about the Christmas narrative is 1. all the lies made up by people using scriptures about the birth of the Messiah. If you do your research, you will see the so called "Christmas story" does not line up to scriptures like you think it does and 2 the only times in scripture that birthdays were celebrated we wicked people and 3 Christ himself told us what to do in remembrance of Him and it looks nothing like Christmas and 4 the Bible tells us that traditions of men make the word of God to no effect and that we are to be set apart from the rest of the world. There are scriptures they tells us not to celebrate Christmas. It says do not celebrate our God as the pagans. Jesus was not born on December 25th but something was. December 25th has always been the worship of many different sun gods throughout history by different empires all the way up to the Roman empire. Israel has a very mild climate and shepherds can be out all year. They are about as south as northern Florida or South Carolina. Just not very cold. Yes, mountains could be an exception, just as we have mountains in the Carolinas, but in general, these states are southern and warm. Israel is the same.

Simply not true. That’s a convenient lie. We should not be following man’s calendar and thinking oh that’s the only time to talk about the Saviour. We need to talk about his any time . And his birth was not in the dead of winter. It was in the fall feast which are in the Bible.

Ist Corinthians 10:14-22. Read the scriptures about Communion. Christ was clear we are to remember his death, not his birth. You are participating in heresy that Christ isn't enough so you need to join the pagan celebrations before Christ was born with your defined meanings. God is Holy and Sacred and says He won't share His glory with another. You want to commemorate? Give your life to Christ. Don't be fooled by Satan and demonic influence just because it feels good and has Christ's name on it. He's not in it! All of your explanations about trees etc is what the catholic church, early protestant churches assigned to try to separate themselves from the paganism of the celebration. If we worship the tree, thats is pagan. But the truth is, were worship God and the Christmas tree just a symbol of celebration.
I think that we should always follow the words of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, and when he said that certain things are from the world.

We shouldn't be decorating Christmas trees anymore. Because it is Pagan and we should just learn to celebrate the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY JESUS birth every day and not on the 25th.

You shouldn't do it if it is against your conscience to do so, and if those under you or influenced by you are grieved over it, then you shouldn't either.
Otherwise, if a day is given to celebrate Jesus's birth and the focus is actually on Jesus, mentioning it frequently and drawing repeated attention to it. Then I have a very difficult time believing something used for the glory of God, without explicit contradiction to its use, is anti-christian.

A person's conscience does not dictate what sin is. God's law determine what constitutes sin, and it says ppl are to refrain from worshiping false gods, which includes false perceptions of God. If your logic holds true, then homosexuals, abortionists, murderers, liars, and thieves are only guilty of sin if their conscience permits it.

Christmas in December, presents, tree and decorations are far from the issue, unless of course you chose to make them an issue.
Just a simple question, where in scripture by God’s word and understanding does , God specify that Christians should not celebrate His birth or enjoy a tree with trimmings , a fine meal .

Christmas, and all the rituals that accompany it are celebrated by the world, and we are to have no part in the ways of the world.

The fact that the Bible gives no sanction whatsoever to the celebration of the birth of Christ, not even mentioning when it occurred, is sufficient evidence that the Lord did not wish to have it celebrated.

@@Recluse616 And yet on the day of His birth, God put a star in the sky to guide kings to his birthplace. An angel announced to shepherds in the field so they could come and worship him. And the very angels of heaven declared his birth and glorified God. Sounds to me like there was a big celebration.

Too much to text but I'm tired of the whole "repackaging" excuse about Christmas. It is a pagan holiday, period. People don't want to give it up so they candycoat the facts. I've read the Bible several times. Where does it mention WHEN Jesus was born? People say maybe he wasn't born in December or on the 25th but we're still celebrating his birthday. Do we do that for ourselves? My birthday is in September. I don't celebrate it in December. I'm not judging anyone who celebrates Christmas but until Jesus confirms it's ok to celebrate, I'm not going to do it.

Christmas was a pagan holiday celebrated during the winter solstice. Jesus wasn't born in December but late March early April. No where in the New Testament times Jesus and the apostles didn't celebrate Jesus birth nor His death. The Magi didn't find Jesus when he was born but he was at least 2 years old and the Magi followed that star for two years. Jesus wasn't born outside in a stable but it was like a room or a basement.
