I have to give a little background by this song. Lara Fabian was going through a very difficult time personally & professionally. Because of this, a group of her fans decided to surprise her and sing her own song to her. And the whole stadium chimed in. Can you imagine that maybe 10.000 fans singing your song to lift you up? "Je t'aime" means I love you, but her fans sing to her "on t' aime" and that means we love you. This singing for her by her fantastic fans; made her very emotional towards the end of the song. Absolutely magical and touching to see how this crowd was lifting her spirit up by doing this. Later she said that because of this: she knew that life was worth living further! I loved your reaction by the way!
This concert and the reaction of that crowd were epic. Allegedly Lara was suffering so bad at that time (by what she was going through) that she had suicidal thoughts. This concert & that moment was some kind of turning point for her and she refound the will to live further and enjoy life. It moved her very deeply that so many people let her know that they loved her! On a nice side note: Because Serge Lama (the songwriter of Je Suis Malade) knew how much Lara's song (Je Taime) meant to her; he sang it to her also on French television. She was moved by this also. See the youtube link: ua-cam.com/video/Wqe3H8EuAaE/v-deo.html Unfortunately, I can not find a better version of this old recording on youtube.
"Chante pas, Lara!" (Don't sing, Lara!) Word. BTW, this was a setup between the manager, the pianist and the audience. The only one here who was clueless here is Lara. *_This_* is a gift, a gift of love from everyone around her. I'd sign for it any day.
This is so very beautiful and moving. I always have tears when I watch and I want to thank you for your honest opening yourself to this music. Thank you for bringing this it's a beautiful thing
Je T'aime (I Love You - lyrics Lara Fabian and probably her most famous song). A fan yells "don't sing, Lara!" looking bewildered she hears her fans start singing. Lara starts with "you caught me off guard!" As she starts another fan cries out "don't cry. Lara". Her fans had contacted her pianist and arranged this epic and beautiful tribute to surprise Lara during a personal crisis of losing someone close a few days before this concert. So 6000+ (some say up to 8000) joined in singing her song and when Lara sung: Je T'aime (I Love You) her fans responded: On T'aime (We Love you!). You would think that this was Freddie Mercury's last concert performed before a sold out concert!!
That was terrific. It reminds me of when Freddie Mercury could make 80,000 people in Wembley stadium during Live Aid sing in unison. This woman is super star deluxe.

She was having a problem in her private life. The crowd wanted to show her their support-- and her pianist is in on this as well-- that's why when he pauses at the start she looks at him like "what's going on?" Then the crowd starts singing "on t'aime" (we love you.) SO emotional.
The crowd was really overwhelming. Really love her songs. Looking forward to finding another french singer that's as talented as she is......will be glad if you can recommend some for me.
@@MrThePerformance1 She is a Canadian/Belgian dual citizen and of course has spent a LOT of time in France. She is one of our music heroes in Québec (she lives in Montréal.) There aren't many like her-- most of the Québecois singers I listen to are more folk or country. One you might enjoy is an American group called the Avalon Jazz Band. Their singer is Tatiana Eva-Marie, a French Swiss woman. Extremely talented.
Oh and btw, Lara was having issues in her personal life and wasn't feeling good so in the song "je t'aime" means i love you, and instead of singing that, the crowd sings "on t'aime" which translates to "we love you". Truly beautiful❤️
As the story goes, the audience were given cards that they were going to do this for her, with her she was not aware. From what i have heard it was a very hard time emotionally for her. i had no idea these videos existed i have watched this on diff channels over the last week at least 100 times just beyond a reminder that the human condition isnt dead yet. its like getting punched in the chest by a gorilla everytime, if she ever wonders if she made a difference, she has. You all have. God Bless you all. back to crying
Oh my God! I am so glad somebody translated the words. Seen this about hundred times, crying every time.
Et nous on t'aime aussi...continue à partager avec nous tes émotions !
I never coment reaction videos... but... I loved how pure your reaction was.
Lara sings "I love you" but crowd singing back to her "we love you (Lara)"
wow. its really touching, the crowd said it first
Thank you for this emotional and so human reaction
