I just randomly saw these wonderful looking mints at Country Market, a shop in Bordon. The name was kind of catchy so I filmed them. I looked for an appropriate song to accompany my footage of the mints. I then found your video 🤪🤪🤪!!!
I used to the original lineup with my mum , Dad, auntie and uncle at Gracie fields theatre Rochdale. My Dad told Norman it was my aunties birthday. He made her stand up and asked her age . She said as old as me tongue and a bit older than me teeth. Everyone burst out laughing. Mum now has dementia yet loves singing along to the old albums as they were played in the van whereever we went. We're going to have the uncle Joe's song at mums funeral as everywhere she goes she drops an uncle Joe's wrapper.
as a kid i was born 1973 deaf i had ops to sort ears but my parents had an old sterio with big speakers i use to hug them and place my teeth on top of the speakers to feel and hear the music i the album was the haughton weavers in concert now at 49 i still have the record to this day its a treasureed item thank you all of the haughton weavers past and present
My mum died a few weeks ago and we played 'The Blackpool Belle' at the funeral as The Houghton Weavers dedicated that song to my mum many years ago. I hope mum and Tony are up there now, catching up and having a sing song x
What about me living in Germany for over 40years. I still love this song and uncle joes. My son was born in Berlin and is nearly 35 years old and still can't speak lancastrian but when we visited England, Birmingham and Wigan the ,vimto, Irn-bru, lucacade,Cadbury, pies factories worked overtime, he was always a funny eater until he visited England then it was everything oh I almost forgot to throw in Robinson drinks, food u had to make myself but drink was no problem oh and chicken, shaun !!!! cocktail crisps were also packed in the suitcase
We had the great pleasure of attending a Weavers concert in Colwyn Bay a few weeks ago during our visit to North Wales. A great evening, original, enetertaining and FUN!! Don't miss them if they come round your way.

My mam used to sing a Houghton song.... All I remember.... "Rows of back to back houses covered in dust and coal, everybody's on the dole..... Something about Wales and man's best friend being his .... Dog!! Sorry to be vague ☺️
Ha Ha, yes that first line sounds like 'When I Was a Lad' ... still a favourite at our live shows ... also on our "Lancashire Leads The Way" album, hope you may have a listen!!
