Because he worked there for more than 2 decades and also he was one of the best employees there. Fast passes are free everyone can get them people just don't know that just go to the box that has them and you'll get them for free. And yes he gets discounts on the clothes and accessories and anything he wants it's 50% off and there's a special store for ex employees and active employees and the store is out of Disney it's somewhere else and everything is 75% off but you can only go if you worked there because you need the card to go in
Nice, but I must add in a correction. Paul Freeze is the actual narrator of the Haunted Mansion. Thurl Ravencroft actually sang Grim Grinning Ghosts and was in The Country Bear Jamboree.
Supply and demand, also remember, a firework show every night, all the restaurants have VERY good food (Though sometimes it is unfair...5 dollars for water is not VERY good food, 12 for just a burger and fries, ya..so just bring a bottle to fill at a fountain and some snack packs), the electricity, water..those rides are HUNGRY after all, then the many people who work there, entertainers, maintenance people, cooks, fire department, security, attendants...it sucks I know, but that's life. But, I think, for all that you get, 100 dollars or so, is a fair deal, it's pricey but, you get a lot in return, those rides, the memories and joy, and some cheaper food there is still good too, and again, a firework show should you stay long enough.
I worked at Disneyland for a total of 6 years. 2 years during highschool, where I was working at Matterhorn and The Indiana Jones Adventure. Then after my 5 years in the Marines I worked during my college years in security for Tomorrowland.
yo that time capsule one amazed me idk why it's so cute for some reason that one day in the future it'll show up and just be there I don't know what I'm saying man Disneyland is so lit
My great uncle (who is still alive) has his name on a window at Disneyland Paris❤️ He was one of the cast members who opened it. He also was a skipper on the Jungle Cruise and now works with Disney Broadway
I love Disney so much.... It's so magical and I always wanna cry when I watch the little movies about Walt Disney... It is still a company, and still is in it to make money... But it still makes me feel so happy when I am there, I feel so elated the moment I walk into Disneyland. It was my childhood and I don't think I'll ever lose the wonderful feeling I get when I walk into that park!
Disneyland and DisneyWorld is so enchanting and sheer magical, the effort the cast members make to keep the dream alive is phenomenal. I'd die if someone took me there!
My favorite Disneyland secret is that all the rides in Fantasyland originally did not include the main character, this is because Walt wanted the person riding the attraction to be in the main characters perspective... But no one really got this concept and some of the guest were complaining not seeing snow white or peter pan in their own ride. Later on the characters were added. This is also why you will only see snow white once through out the whole ride(in the beginning) and the queen/hag offers you the apple.
Sam Musubi it's actually very cool that you know this, not a lot of people know that! I know Snow White I think was the biggest complaint at least that I know of. People don't realize that you are supposed to be the main character, I think that's absolutely amazing that Walt did it that way, he always wanted to put the people in the stories. But it was so Advanced for his time no one understood it.
I know this may sound silly but...this video make me crack a tear of joy remembering all those wonderful times when as a little kid I went to Disneyland with my family.
Yeah actually most of the things he's said are spot on.. Like i go as a guest and i automatically still act like a cast member haha but yeah he speaks the truth!
Hahhaa the big brother vibe is there for sure. We have secrets and mannerisms we have to keep up that if you spill anything you can actually get fired and banned and yeah it's crazy
***** yeah especially when some of the customers can be so rude! Like i worked New Years Eve yesterday/today and it was insanely intense. I got called a bitch got ran over by stollers and so much more. Oh yeah anything there is pretty expensive even the entrance haha
***** yeah but i work at a restaurant that is closing for star wars land so im ussd to getting insulted and no not a mugger a stoller you know a pram? The thing you transport babies 😂 yeah the attractions are always the best, you should go to California adventure they have some of the best animation stuff
I'm surprised you didn't mention the special tree in Adventureland. When Walt bought the land for Disneyland, they had to mow down the orange grove there. The owner said not to get rid of this one tree because it had been a gift from their grandfather to their grandmother and different family members had gotten married underneath it. Walt declared that the tree would not be touched and it still hasn't. They even had to cut a hole in the Indiana Jones Fastpass queue to accommodate the tree.
When I was a kid, my family used to go to Disneyland every year. This was back when it was affordable to the average person. I still love Disneyland, but now I have to plan financially for my trips.
They won't let you. Except for the headboard, the human skeletons are long gone. People try to spread ashes in the parks all the time, mostly in Haunted Mansion and even allegedly in Small World, from what I've heard. But Disney has to close the ride and bring in biohazard teams to clean it up. Don't let your family try this.
you mean like IN FRONT of the castle? if that was the case, they would probably have to close the whole park just for your wedding. you probably wouldn't be able to get married there.
This video is my childhood. I'm used to watch these at my grandparents house all the time when I was younger. Now I'm watching a few days before I leave to college.

Disney land is AMAZING! That's the first place ever I've seen birds actually not scared of you
This makes me really want to go to Disneyland now :( :'( Why can't it be as much as a dollar to get in now like it used to be :(
Because Disney is greedy now.
