I call the KYL targets based on quarter inches.
    1" is 4 quarters thus #4
    3/4" is well 3 Quarters
    1/2" is 2
    And 1/4" is 1
Makes sense because 1 the smallest number/target and 4 is the largest. It makes it much simpler and wish NRL22 shooter would call it this way. Makes the COF 4321,321,21,1 EZ!

Making it look easy! Good shooting! Dropped two? Nicely done! One thought i had for stage 1 cupids tripod is to write down holdover minus what ive dialed next to each yardage i will dial in my scope. Chair is not my favorite barricade either.

dumb question.. with the addition of the tripod prop. Everyone runs a bag on top of the head, I've heard several people comment on some lack of stability in this position. Is there a reason not to actually use the tripod as a tripod? 9/10 heads on top of these tripods I see are arca, and 9/10 people are running some kind of arca rail on their firearm. Locking in and out would take time, no question, but it seems like you could get super stable if you did. Are there rules against this?

I think there is a rule against it. Not everyone has an arca rail and not everyone has a match tripod that has a nice head for everyone. So typically it’s just off the top of the tripod.

Section D 3 in the 2024 rules talks about tripods. It doesn't say anything about clamping in. Only that competitors must use tripod provided by MD for stages that use this as a prop.
My 2 sense on clamping in vs bag. Clamping in on the clock takes time. Also takes time to unclamp and move to prone postion. In my personal shooting, I like using a bag, especially with an arca plate. If your rifle is balanced correctly, this allows for a very steady/effective way to take shots off a tripod.
