- President of Côte d'Ivoire, H.E Alassane Ouattara paid homage to Asantehene on March 5, ahead of the President’s Cup game between Asante Kotoko and ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast.
Led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the delegation included Ivorian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Felix Tanon, and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah.
Also present were Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum; Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister, Stephen Asamoah Boateng; Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCO); and others.

The Asantes who migrated to Cote D'Ivoire are our Brothers and Sisters. I always feel comfortable and peaceful when I visit. Those tribes speak Twi with slight differences
