If you have try other 3rd party app and the camera works then it's a software issue.
So, I tried this but when I pressed the home button shortcut it took me to my password. Do you know what this means? Also it didn't work.

That means you have a software issues, I don't think you have try to uninstall some of other 3rd party apps, reset, restart your iPhone, turn airplane mode on and off, voice on and off, and etc. that I have other tutorial videos on that.

Try to hard reset your iPhone 8 Plus to see if it will work, there are many steps or methods to solve your issues. I have many videos on my channel.
I tried all these but still now working. I updated my ios yesterday to ios 14.5 and camera is not working. Also, the flash. Do i have to go to an IT to get it fixed? Like open the internal if the phone?

mine just randomly came back on today after accidentally updating my phone a month ago.. the only thing i know i did between the last time tried to use the camera (which was like a hour before) and the time i realized it worked again was change my password and delete instagram and twitter.. idk if that has anything to do with anything but that’s literally all i did in that span of time lol

Its working now. I replace a new cam and it both works.
Oh and one more thing when you are replacing screen of the phone you have to be careful because sometimes the only problem camera that doesnt work is because of the cable.

Yes, lots of iPhone users have been experience many similar problems and Apple should do something about it or there should be a class action for this kind of faulty hardware/software failures.

There’s a temporary fix just turn on your flash for a few seconds even if it didn’t work and you should be able to use it for a little

That means you have a software issues, unless you dropped your iPhone 11 on the back then with impact.

Did you test out if your camera is a software or hardware issue? If you don't know then you didn't follow the instructions.
Yeah me to my camera on the back of my phone works but the front camera I use for FaceTime or selfies just completely black, I can’t answer calls or anything and I tried everything I don’t know what I can do to fix it and I had it for about 2 months I think
