Where are the air defence systems that always achieve 98% interception, why can't they catch gliding bombs?
They can, but it is horribly expensive. A dumb payload with a cheap winged drone attached with some basic navigation software. Imagine using a $2 million rocket to intercept that cheap incoming.
If it was intercepting an airplane, cost would be worthy, because a plane costs millions, but these gliding things have a range that goes beyond defenses range.

The problem is range. These things are launched from out of range, and they glide several dozens of kilometers. A cheap dumb payload and a cheap winged device attached with some GPS navigation software. No way to intercept the airplane that launches these things. And if you intercept 4 pailoads it costs 4X the cost of a rocket, and you are downing a cheap payload.
@@josepablolunasanchez1283 Dude, again, not how air defense works. When air defense sees it, it determines if it is hostile or not. If it is, it fires the rocket to intercept it. The jets that launch these bombs are out of range, but the bombs are definitely in range. These bombs carry a chemical that reacts once exposed. So even if you hit the bombs, it will still rain fire. NATO systems are not calibrated for dumb bombs. NATO has no idea how to handle it. If they turn on anything that moves. They will be shooting rockets at birds and be out of rockets in a matter of seconds.
Their counter now seems to be attacking the planes themselves at their air bases.
